I agree with you for the most part, Modern media goes out of its way to potray the nazis as main villians secretly poisoning society when in fact nazism as an ideology was discredited in the 1940s. This is all a result of marxism infiltrating public insitutions like universities, The communists want to draw attention away from themselves so they accuse moderates of being radicals intent on genocide. Then the marxists frame themselves as the good guys fighting radicalism.
I'd add my two cents here and say that the infiltration of academia is very prevalent in Europe as well.
When I was at university, I had the pleasure of seeing how two departments are run:
- Hungarian Historians are about as objective as they can be. For example, I had a professor who was kind of liberal personally, but taught theology so well that he could take the role of a rabid Protestant and a Catholic inquisitor back-to-back - which, if you've ever seen American leftists trying to pretend to be anything other than the raging faggots they are - speaks volumes about his professionalism and nuanced takes. He was also the first to call you out on your bullshit if you came to his seminar and tried to peddle the "Inquisition killed everyone" nonsense, and could explain the theological background and reasoning behind it without issues, despite disagreeing with them. He is also religious (a practicing Lutheran) - which just simply doesn't happen with American "liberals".
Most of the other professors are willing to listen to alternative opinions and will give you the grade you deserve based on how well you can support it, and they eat "Historians" who peddle their pre-conceived notions about the middle ages being "dark" and "stupid" and "sexist/racist/whatever" for breakfast.
- English Studies, on the other hand, is a fucking trainwreck. They import research papers from the US and it shows. While there was a "purge" of Communist influence from the History Department (because, you know, we had to endure 40 years of commies falsifying history and were sick and tired of it), the English Studies Department accepts everything from the US and UK without any thought whatsoever. They see that the paper was peer-reviewed (probably by a bunch of Marxist dipshits) and don't bother to double-check, which is why we had one professor shill Kinsey's bullshit and another use the Academic Writing class to peddle some Marxist-Feminist class-gender dynamics nonsense (the course was meant to prepare you for your thesis, so it's pretty important).
There was also a class titled "Before Pornography", which would imply some sort of psychological examination of people's attitudes towards sexuality and, perhaps, relationship dynamics (a pretty interesting topic, in my opinion). Since, of course, it was not included in the psychology electives, it wasn't that. It was a course about a book that had the same title and was about colonialism. Of fucking course.
I swear, Commies are so fucking predictable, it's not even funny. It's all the more tragic that they have a very pungent odor and yet the West doesn't seem to smell it.
