Im sure parents of non-autists do it too, but i feel like autists are especially susceptible to being negatively impacted by video games, especially any games that encourage aggression or gambling.

Autism comes part and parcel with being unable to distinguish between the "self" and the outside, which also means it can be harder for autistic people to differentiate between fiction and reality. That makes it really important to monitor their media intake the same way you do for kids because that sort of thing can really fuck them up. For higher functioning kids they can usually handle it eventually, but when they're young (or actual tards) they've got an emotional capacity that's developmentally behind.

It doesn't surprise me at all that HYV games attract autists like flies.
