Sony hate thread

The Xbox One went from a disaster to redemption arc in a very short timeframe which really carried them from 2015 to 2019.
I didn't know a single person who bought an Xbox One back then as everyone I knew bought a PS4 instead since the general consensus back then was that most people heard nothing but horrible things about the new Xbox. I haven't even bought an Xbox since the 360 and I went thru two of those defective pieces of shit before I sold my third one and never looked back.

I bought a One X late and like it a LOT more than PS4. Everything on PS4 feels super slow and the controller is horrible, vs a platform where I can play nearly all the 360 games I own with no frame tearing and 16X AF, sometimes with other enhancements, plus the usual multiplatform games when the PC version is poop.

I haven't found a reason to buy a Series console though.

Xbox One is fine, but unremarkable. I would only recommend one if you can get it for cheap, and if you already have a library of 360 titles you want to replay that are on this list. 360 & original titles are nicely enhanced, but they run just as well on a 2013 Xbox One as they do on a Series X.

I did end up having more fun with my Xbox One than my PS4. It is solid, competent hardware, and everything I played on it ran well. There just aren't any games you can point to and say "This. Buy it for this" that someone with a nice computer can't already play. I would be thrilled if the Xbox line were just updated to work as Windows 11 machines that let you install Steam. An Xbox Series X would be the ultimate compact HTPC.

I bought my PS3 in 2012 when it hit its lowest price point. I 90% of my games used at like 10-20 dollars a pop. In fact, I think the *only* new games I bought for PS3 were GTA V and The Last of Us to my eternal shame. (and probably explains why they got such a boner for it, it was probably the most profitable game simply on the virtue of being the last big thing to come out when everyone finally got a PS3)
I got mine late, too. PS3 games were so dirt cheap across the board.

you couldnt pay me enough money to play another game from those pieces of shit who made nu wolfestein
You must give them your money, you bigot.

Honestly, the 7th console generation is probably bigger fuck ups for Sony and Microsoft than anything, but it feels like everyone on here ignores it because they were like fucking 12-16 during it.
It's because game devs were making up for the retardation of the console makers. If you compare the exclusives that the Xbox 360 and PS3 had to the ones they have now, it's not even close.

And the fuck ups didn't overlap, so unless you were a single console owning peasent, you got 8 great years of console games.

Indian Jones is launching on PS5 next year and as I speculated (i think ITT) I think it and Avowed were both originally PSVR2 games, but Microsoft pulled the rug and stopped both coming to VR to stop it in its tracks, as they had no hardware ready for the market, despite Phil Spencer saying in 2018 and 2020 that VR was coming to xbox.

I also suspect that's partly the reason why Sony let PSVR2 die on its arse; the price could have been justified if games were coming, but if yearly tentpole releases were canned beyond their control, there was little they could do. Rumours suggested Starfield was in development for PS5 with a VR mode.

honestly, this might be one developer but it wouldn't surprise me if this was the mentality of the entirety of Sony from the devs to the fucking board room, they surpass even EA at not listening to their customers and disregarding their opinions, Jim Ryan's tenure was a prime example of this, "the customers are wrong and we are right" mindset as I call it, I don't buy any of their PC ports nor own a PlayStation but their just happy to let FIFA Spics and NBA niggers keep funding failed products like this, In a world that made more sense Sony would have shut their doors down by now, their survival is a testament to anyone who believes in a true free market being retarded, it doesn't exist

I wish both Sony and Micrsoft would give up on VR. It's a waste of resources, and I don't know anyone who has a decent enough PC to run it on the PC front. It's gimmicky as fuck, and these devs are putting more time and money into wastes of space than actually doing anything decent.

Yeah, because this stance worked out so well for the Saints Row devs, lets see how they're doi - oh wait.

Seriously though, charging $40 - $50 up here in Leafistan - for a Hero Shooter when Overwatch 2, while shit, is free, and the upcoming Marvel Rivals is ALSO free? If not for the amount of ads I've seen for this shit heap I'd assume someone at Sony had it down as a tax write off.

Matter of fact, lets take a look at how Concords Day 1 on Steam has go-
