Much as I personally don’t like RFK… I do at least somewhat agree that him throwing his support behind Trump would practically cinch the election for mister orange man. Mostly because I feel that would shore up Trump’s base even harder and even drag in some more independents.

Though of course, I think it’s more accurate to say that I think him throwing support behind Trump would push him beyond the margin of reasonable fraud, since I think Trump should win regardless, but the bump that endorsement would bring isn’t anything to sneeze about. Some people would undoubtedly still vote for RFK or go with someone else third party, but anyone saying there wouldn’t be any benefit is kidding themselves.

If this is truly what the outcome is going to be from an RFK Jr. endorsement, then I'm fine with Trump giving him a small cabinet position in exchange for it.

And it needs to be a cabinet position that screws over Big Pharma, because that is literally one of the only issues that Kennedy is right about.

Was out with friends recently and an eccentric friend started talking about politics and how RFK has a brain worm, and a guy with a brain worm is a better option than the other two.

It sounded even crazier in person, the guy needs a hook other than brain worms.
Brain worms generally don’t give people confidence in a candidate.

I was intrigued by RFK, but he's done a lot to turn me off, like picking a megabucks donor to be his VP, and saying he'll drop out if either side gives him a cabinet position.

Between the brainworm, dead bear dumping, past "youthful indiscretion" consent accidents, and general rep as a conspiracy theorist, he's radioactive to normies.

That said, he has research and receipts on vaccines which are compelling if you listen to his Rogan interview. He also has good points about Big Pharma, pesticides in foods, microplastics, chronic disease, and childhood illness. He could make a big difference if given a position with power over the FDA, EPA, HHS, etc. He had Rand Paul on his own podcast and there was a lot of mutual respect.

I don't know about this specific proposal, but the way I've seen others written in the past, it's on an annual basis. So it looks at the value of stocks on January 1st last year, compares it to the value on January 1st this year, and calculates unrealized gains from there. The other way to do it is 1 year from purchase date.

If they make it annual on the same day for everyone, that is going to absolutely destroy the market as people manipulate it lower for those given days.
