Women really want men to "see their heart and not their actions" even when their actions are getting trains ran on them while shooting up heroin and they only come around when they need something. Jenny didn't deserve love and neither do these women.
Though maybe I'm being unreasonable and the only love that these women do deserve is from their friendzoned pet retard, but only after he's earned it.
Contrast this with one of my favorite scenes in Batman Begins. Bruce Wayne is soaking wet, walking out of the hotel he just bought with two whores, when suddenly, his childhood crush, Rachel, comes in. His whole demeanor changes, and he stammers, "All of this...it's...it's not me. Inside, I am...I am more." Rachel looks at him with a sad, condescending smile, and says, "Bruce, deep down you may still be that same great kid you used to be, but it's not who you are underneath. It's what you do that defines you." As the camera pans away, you can see Bruce is utterly crushed.
Obviously, this scene was written by a man, because a real woman would go absolutely moist for a rich, handsome, charismatic bad boy who becomes a heart-of-gold puppy-dog-eyed romantic only for her. This is also why many women go for psychopaths. It's not just as simple as "women like violent guys." The women who go for that believe they can see the "true heart" of the guy beneath his terrible actions, and that with the magic of her love and gentleness, the
real him will break through the heartless, brutal exterior. After he beats her so badly she spends two days in the hospital, she tells her friends, "You don't know what he's
really like!"
