I think this is what the sores on nicks legs are.
Vasculitis - also he probably has heart issues from his heavy drinking and drug use.
This decreases circulation which causes issues with wounds, particularly in your legs and extremities.
Similar to how fat people get never-ending sores on their feet and legs - its because of poor circulation.
In nicks case, the poor circulation central cause is drug/alcohol abuse which causes cardiomyopathy - a weakening of the heart muscles and its ability to pump blood.

My account is not as through, but I will throw my hat in. Went with a relative due to her owning the car, and she was interested in the case too.
I wasn't with the Kiwi group that was photographed after, but I was one of the note-takers. We pulled in at around 10:15 ish and Ethan was walking around the court house lawn. He went in a minute or two later, and I wasn't too far behind. I maintained a distance due to not wanting to smell him, but I could still get whiffs of cheap cologne and ass with a hint of metal. Asked on note taker if he was here for Nick, he said yes. Did small talk with the lady that was later photographed waving to Ralph. Loved her purse!
We were let into the court room, there was definitely 2 cameras, but a small black box in the corner of the ceiling could possibly be a third. Simple room design. Nick came in for a moment and asked Ethan and another to scoot over, for Kayla and her attorney to sit. About 5 minutes later, we rose and sat down. White was on a cane, and I couldn't help but feel bad for whatever ailment he may have. I was sitting behind both Kayla, her attorney, and Ethan. Ethan has a bald spot and a gross patchy beared. Dude looked older than my father. And grimey. Nick looked the a human string bean, but dressed appropriately for court. Though I've had limited experience with this, so I could be wrong on his fashion sense. He did look too skinny to wear such tight pants though. Hair was oiled and I could see some scalp in back. But he had more color in him today, just a little.
Kayla's looks horrified my relative, and me as well. I knew the bitch was messed up but my God her face skin looked pulled over like some sort of Ed Gein doll. She didn't smell, as far as I can recall. Hair needed brushing though. She was pulling her jacket around herself. Didn't stop looking ahead. Ethan was sitting next to her, gaze downcast. He looked bored. Nick whispered something to his attorney, no one seemed to hear what it was. I couldn't either.
I couldn't understand the legal-ese but others here already covered that. I was one of the last farmers to leave since my relative was sitting in the very back, and I secretly hoped I heard some interesting details. That was when I saw Ethan hug Kayla. 'What the fuck?!' Was my first thought, and I left with my family member. Said member was confused too, and later asked if those two were a thing. I theorized that Ethan probably wanted some easy pickings. He's not picky, obviously. I'm still not sure, and my Ethan Ralph lore isn't up to date. Pigs do prefer filth though.
Watched the now iconic Kiwi group leave as we crossed the street to our own car. I'm still a little bummed I didn't get to be in the meme, but I think it's a blessing in disguise. After all, I was wearing blue sneakers too...
Met at Zaza's and had one of the best times in my Kiwi career. Everyone was funny, sweet and as autistic as me. We compared notes while munching on pizza, nachos and drinks. One guy was surprised that I was a true and honest woman, due to how I wrote, he thought I was a younger man. Lmao. There were 2 women there and the rest were guys. And the journo-scum thinks we don't have diversity.
Amusing final thought; Nick freaked out over getting his Transformer taken away when he was little. A Starscream, I think? There's a joke or two in there regarding that event and a Starscream watching him in court. But I'm not smart enough to extract any potential from it.
