Unless we have the obligation to be armed, and defend ourselves and our property, and others, we will need cops. I know many, most of which choose literally one of the worst possible jobs to ensure everyone can be fine, sure they are humans, there are people becoming cops because they want some power to compensate their small dick too, distributing tickets for bad parking, instead of fighting crime actively, but the majority of them remain based. If we get rid of cops who are ruling? Criminals. just like in Marseille, Roubaix, Seine-Saint-Denis and many places like that here to only name a few.

The problem is too many laws, including gun control, and a lack of private police alternatives to replace the cops in cases of self-defense. I think most things cops do now are a waste of time and resources.
