I define “emotional intelligence” as being able to articulate one’s own internal emotional state. That is a fair definition of EI. Being able to articulate own's feelings and emotions while also able to figure out someone else's based on body language, eye contact, etc. But if that is the definition of EI we're working on, I don't think any sex has the monopoly on it. I think most males and females fail at having good EI and unless I see convincing and consistent research otherwise, I certainly don't think females have superior EI. At best, they have good internal EI, but fail when figuring out men (because they don't need to care about men's feelings).

To generalize, if men want to be romantically successful, they need to figure out themselves and their wants and needs, and they need to figure out women. Women, in general, are passive. All they have to do is exist and pick from the available men. For women to simply understand men's perspective, is a laudable achievement.

To politicize it a bit, it's similar to how conservatives/right-wingers if faced with the opposing leftist side, the right/cons can accurately verbalize the opposing side's views and opinions. That's because more often than not, right-wingers expose themselves to outside opinions so they understand their opinions, even if they don't agree with it. In contrast, and I'm sure many of you have seen it yourselves, the left utterly fails at verbalizing the right's opinions accurately and without using strawmen arguments. This can be clearly explained by the culture of censorship of opposing opinions, not allowing debate (because the other side should not be platformed even in college campuses), and voluntarily avoids outgroup opinions. And as @The Ugly One has pointed out multiple times, what is the demographic that consistently vote for retarded and destructive leftist policies? Women (and White liberal women in particular), but women in general.
