This is proof that modern animators hate children. Yes, there's stories of animators hating working on children's shows, but you could assume a majority of them had families and so it was just a job to support them. These abominations are also "just a job" but now more of them are childless and porn-sick. And this is what the AI has to work off of.

What it ultimately boils down to is the big wigs at the top being so scared of taking risks that they feel the best thing to fall back on is what they think audiences consider to be "familiar." The problems are a) potentially ruining what ain't broke and b) wasting time and money on making an inferior version of something that's already readily available.
I think I've already read elsewhere on KF that the '08 recession caused this mass ripple effect where corporate suits act like they're in poverty and at risk of going under all because of something that happened over a decade ago. That, or they're scared of their shareholders backing off because there was less infinite money than there was last quarter.
The day one of the big studios takes a massive risk and it pays off will definitely be one for the history books. If they're gonna keep pursuing reboots, at least make an effort to preserve the feel and integrity of the original. Things like the streaming wars and influx of reboots have turned the usage of IP into some sort of slave trade now that I think about it. And throughout it all, all these big wigs trying to capitalize on the streaming wars and mass consumption seemed to forget that you need to make sure your products are up to standard if they want to have any hope of success.

I can believe the formers in the sense of "dang, didn't want to do children's stories - there's so much more to tell for a wider audience", in the sense of "All ages" instead. But you are right, they were professionals and could relate "I have a son or a daughter, what would I like to show to him/her?"
Now most of them dream of adding - ahem, as the kids would say :"sussy" stuff - like buttcheeks or bulges on children. Mostly people from the "alphabet soup", and I say this knowing they hate children, because they are potential abusers - they wouldn't do it otherwise.

... Reading these tweets genuinely pissed me off, I almost want to sperg and fish for tophats... but I won't.
What I will say is that I hate that I can kinda understand the mentality... but why? Just why? I thought the point of those PSA videos were to convince a normal person (like a parent or a single adult that feels nostalgic towards old cartoons) about how animation is important and how absolutely terrible the current industry is... how art of your characters being gay gonna help that? Are you tyring to grab the attention of the terminally online manchildren and tumblrina girls? They already know the industry is garbage. They don't need convincing. How are they gonna help your cause? That adults are also interested in cartoons made for children? Give me a break...
