That's not very surprising. The democrats are not the party of poor people, they're the party of poverty. They don't love poor people, they love poverty, since it's a goose laying golden eggs constantly. If they fix the problems then they don't have any ground to stand on and no issues to use for political campaigning, so they'd rather those problems remain and then blame Republicans for it.

tl;dr: A judge actually applied strict scrutiny to the Second Amendment (which is pretty clear, want a gun, yes you can have it, even if it's big black and scary) and the feds didn't even bother trying to make their case, assuming it was just common judicial knowledge they can ban some types of guns. Can you imagine if this gets to SCOTUS and the liberals + female conservatives on the court can't get one of the male conservatives to flip?

Kostas Moros is a really interesting story of TDS going full circle to, if not being totally pro Trump, at least realizing he's far better than the opposition.


From what Ive gathered on reading his tweets:

Californian infected with TDS in 2016. Voted for Hillary and was horrifed when orange man won.

Wanted to buy a gun so he could defend himself against the inevitable Trump stormtroopers who would come to take him away.

Because California, he had to deal with all kinds of fees, wait periods, and firearm neutering. This annoyed him, so he looked into who had made their retarded gun laws.

Upon discovering it was "his side" oppressing his ability to defend himself against Trump, he basically did a 180 and become a pro 2A California attorney who is very much against the Democrats.

Why people evade this I don't know. A lot of the planet is under direct or indirect control of the U.S., even if it's slipping now, and even if the people under its yoke benefit, it's an empire of perhaps a different kind but it's an empire of some sort.

Thing is I don't deny it is a empire. By strict definition it is. But I consider it immensely preferable to the alternative, which is Europe breaking down to infighting, China going out of control, North and South Korea going for round two, and not being able to guard the sea lanes when it is clear no one else will. The US unironically is the glue that keeps shit together. Take us away and WW3 will start in a week.

Agree. Rahimi was a terrible fact pattern.
I still think Thomas’s dissent was right, but it was not a good case, and I wasn’t shocked at the decision, even if I was disappointed.

I’m hoping this is some upstanding salt of the earth hillbilly who’s a pillar of their community but also really likes guns. With a good defendant it’s absolutely possible to get the correct outcome.

I just analyse each issue separately myself and don't rely on others' ideologies. I don't care whether my conclusion on things are regarded left or right. (And I can change my views based on facts, but it's rarely happened, other than on incidents like one of the black people killed I was on their side and against the police until I found out the facts. I forgot who. Not George Floyd, although I was against what the policeman did, although it's come out since that's not really what killed him.) But it just seems to be that my views based on my analysis of things definitely make me viewed as someone who would be considered "right-wing".

Well we made a trade. We chose the absolute right to self defense over welfare handouts. When you bring this up, Euros tend to skree " well we have diplomacy" or shit like that. Diplomacy only works if you're bigger. That's just reality. No country in europe is capable of Diplomacying their way with China. We actually can because we can duke it out with them. Simple as.
