The British Army has announced a new recruitment drive targeting Nigerians and other Commonwealth citizens, inviting applications for various roles within its armed forces.


The recruitment window is open from August 19, 2024, to August 26, 2024.

Interested candidates from Nigeria are sought for positions including musicians, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Royal Engineers Technicians, tradesmen, and paratroopers.

The British Army emphasised the critical role of Commonwealth soldiers in its ranks and their continued importance within the organization.

Applications must be linked to the Recruit Bounty Referral Scheme, except for those applying as musicians.

Candidates will be required to undergo several fitness tests, such as the multistage fitness test (beep test), seated ball throw, and mid-thigh pull.

The British Army advises applicants to quit smoking and maintain a balanced diet in preparation.

Successful candidates will need to travel to the UK for further assessment in October and November 2024. Basic training is scheduled to commence between January and March 2025.

People need to get it in their thick heads that this is a marathon, not a sprint. The riots had next to no chance of changing the regime in the short term, but they moved the needle further in the direction of making it a reality. Nothing will happen until people accept that they're ruled by an extremely hostile elite that wants them gone, and the extreme overreaction to the riots was a wonderful lesson in this regard.

The Army will send soldiers from other regions of the UK to any part of the UK with civil unrest in which the army may be expected to act; this way the level of empathy and backlash faced by the soldiers will be reduced. They will often deploy regiments from England to Scotland, Scotland to Ireland, etc to avoid the soldiers seeing those they are aiming at as the same as them.

It's very rare, but there is historical precedent for this. Most people in the UK cannot stand each other.

Wasn't it africa where the army was finding guns with random tubes and wire strapped to the top of them and it turned out that they were just trying to copy real guns they found and didn't actually know what a sight was for. They just found guns and knew that they all had these tube things or little wire bits on the top and so when they repaired them or made their own they just tried to replicate that without actually making them functional. They would just kinda point it in the right direction and hope instead of actually aiming the gun and that's why the army had such an easy time fighting them, because they literally were just shooting at the walls. All I'm saying is the army might give the order to shoot at it's own citizens but that doesn't mean they know how to point the gun at them.

Absolutely true. Nobody in 2 Para was from the six counties during bloody sunday, for instance.

That said, the regimental system was reformed some time in the mid 2000s or 2010s, which mostly broke the link between regiments and their traditional recruiting grounds. The military is quite well mixed now, nationally. I suspect, if the government wants to use outsiders to suppress internal rebellion, that we'll first see regiments reformed to be majority ethnic, under the cover of the pursuit of "diversity". We've already seen attempts at it in the RAF, where a policy of rejecting native English male recruits, regardless of qualification, was in place for some time. They'll no doubt try to be smarter about it this time around.

The Russians do this all the time, they sent troops from the Asian side to keep the peace in the European side and vice versa. Having no connection to the people you are tasked with bringing order to really lets the brutality ramp up. They would have to utilise the non natives and sociopathic city dwelling bugmen types.
