His ass disowned her because she made a ganja joke while being Jamaican, bringing great dishonor to him. He has COMPLETELY cut ties with her mother's side of the family. They are not in contact. She should not be talking about him or using him as a positive point, it opens her to attack.

I thought it was a passable speech - sure, she got the beginning giggles and I certainly won't remember this in a week - but at first glance it seems like a perfectly competent performance. Digging into it will reveal that it was simply more vapid dribble, of course, but media glaze will probably ensure that the facade passes the sniff test for most normies.
Solid B minus. Trump's was better, but I guess Harris didn't have a blown off ear to bounce ideas off of. And her speaking will probably go back downhill so if you don't like this rating, think of it as being graded on a curve.

I do not think I have heard a worse, less charismatic speaker in politics than Kamala. She just sucks the life out of anything she is talking about and makes you tune her out immediately. Really drives home how she did so horribly in 2020 and why they are hiding her so much.

In my opinion that was "a very good speech" for a low information base.
It covered every area of the democratic types. It was designed as a sedative.
Kamala is unlikable, so they are standing on every single thing that democrats have ever said.
The purpose of it is to give little statements for people to talk about on twitter. Its a series of activation phrases that make her recognizable as another Obama.

I honestly, wholeheartedly believe that she just lost a good number of voters in very little time. Of the 30-ish minutes she spoke, only like, 1 minute had new stuff in it.
Everyone who is undecided who was eagerly waiting for her to be concrete about anything got absolutely nothing. The people outside who are simping for Palestine literally just heard "Israel has the right to defend themselves!". The people who are fucking sick of the US just printing money for Ukraine just heard "I will stand with Ukraine!".
Your voterbase will vote for a rock if they need to, you need to get the undecided/independent voters and she said everything that would scare them away.

On balance, that speech was meh. It’s not the worst speech ever, not a campaign ending disaster. But it’s not memorable and offered nothing new. I’m not sure that’s what their campaign needs right now.
That’s reaction image fodder if I ever saw it.

The good: She didn't break down into a complete panic attack, and it's clear she's put in work to last longer on stage, has obviously been rehearsing and practicing. Good on her, she'a dumb bitch, but she's a dumb bitch who's working on her speaking skills if, even a little. It wasn't GREAT, but it was... okay. I will give credit where it's due, because I'm fair. She's trying to improve.
The bad: It's the same shit we heard prior to the speech, maybe save a few points. No substance. No numbers or foundation. She didn't pick a side in a legendary blood feud that is fueled by complete hate and a call for genocide. Instead of actually standing on her own immediate merits and potential policies, she shat on orange man because it's safe and easy to do.
The ugly: She's probably fucked up on anti-anxiety meds and or liquor.
