Debate @Hollywood Hulk Hogan about why banning porn is retarded

Says the same Jews who push unprofitable interracial pornography. Funny how supposedly watching tranny prolapse porn is an inalienable right in this country but actual (unpopular) speech occurs on social media people are dragged before congress.
I support all unpopular speech This whataboutism makes no sense because the governments that banned porn in the case of the UK banned "hate speech," so if anything, you are the hypocrite, not me, and I don't care which race made the argument.
Yeah no, you don't have the right to jerk it to monkey torture videos, troons and sex trafficked Midwestern girls who couldn't hack it in Hollywood
Yes, we do have a right to watch it.

This thread is less "Debate user Hollywood Hulk Hogan" and more "Debate user Pool's Closed Due to AIDS".
I can't help it if he ran away and the women are too scared to take on menfolk. I even tried to help them out with some sources and arguments.

Nobody likes a lazy thread OP.

It would be difficult effectively "banning" this without enacting some type of shitty censor/IDing process which would have extremely bad effects on the Internet, for example what's to stop them from IDing for even more and more things and a Great American Porn Firewall won't be that effective either.

I know everyone talks about prohibition being terrible but we also lack statistics on weather it helped or not in regards to the issue it tasked itself with solving. All we really have to show for it is organized crime, however we also have things like smoking bans inside at public places, bans on the sale of ivory, etc. which have been very effective. As it stands this is already a staple to organized crime and a black market in particular capacities so it going to "organized crime" seems like a pretty invalid argument since it's already at that point.

I think the most effective method would be extremely harsh laws towards porn hosts, prostution, trafficking, etc. I don't think you can effectively ban it, but making it as unprofitable and as much a pain in the ass as possible for a legal business to host said content would certainly help and not outright banning it will help prevent retarded gooners from rallying as much. You don't need a full on ban to make an impact, as stated prior look at the smoking campaigns mentioned.

No, you really don't.
Yes, we do learn to read.
God's not real and if he were he sure as fuck wouldn't approve of your lifestyle choices.
Yes, he is real, and the majority of anti-porn people agree. I know he does not approve of porn, but we have a secular government.
The vast majority of the planet would put you in a woodchipper for enjoying such things.
The vast majority of the planet has gun control. Does that mean it's good?
But please, die on that hill of defending the right to goon to monkey torture.
OK, feel free to die on the hill of murdering people for jacking off.

I am going to ask that everyone please remain civil and respectful of the perspectives and opinions of other users even if you disagree.

There is no need to attack one another.
This isn't a lolcow thread.

Banning porn would just make it go underground and not stop malicious people from producing and distributing it. So there'd be an upsurge in black market porn, which means no laws, which means groomed teenagers and revenge porn will be mixed in with all the other currently legal material.

Porn is bad for you, yeah, but there is no way a ban would be universally beneficial in the digital age.

It's true it would be impossible to ban all porn with any measure less than a great firewall, but it should be possible, and effective, to shut down professional porn studios and websites and corporations that purely exist to host and market porn, like MindGeek or Onlyfans. ISPs could be regulated or incentivised to take out foreign porn sites, it wouldn't be any more difficult than what was done to Kiwifarms. Pornography can't be eliminated, but it should be possible with measures like those to make it less mainstream. A porn black market doesn't really matter as long as it's hard to access and expensive, people willing to go that far were beyond saving already.

you made this?

i thought jannies made these when splintering offtopic shitposts out of a thread. you just picked him out and put his name in the title didn't you.

lol

i find the concepts of prostitution and consent to be highly at odds with each other

would imposing the death penalty on pornographers reduce the amount of porn produced?

singapore kills drug traffickers and that's worked out pretty well for them

an issue there is a government saying something that isn't porn is porn so that they can send someone they don't like to the gallows

A great firewall/ISP denying access to thigns is honestly not a good idea. It's easily circumnavigated (just look at all the people on onion or how easy it was to get around ISP's attempting to block it) and sets shitty precedence for other things we may not want targeted. I will admit yeah we are already "there" where it has been attempted literally for this site but clearly it doesn't work and just puts more power into the hands of people when it's probably in everybodies best interest to keep said hands out of it, and if we can roll things back away from said censorship it'd be for the better. Just because you have power today doesn't mean you will tomorrow, etc. etc.

Targetting the industry itself seems like the best solution imo and frankly I think it's retarded that adding a camera to the equation magically makes it legal. I don't see it any different from prostitution personally.

Yes I made this. We're allowed to make MD threads.

Hollywolly implied he would have no problems debating the topic and I included his quote of consent in the OP.

It would be a very funny win-win if goverments shutting down porno studios caused them to start hiring decent writers and directors so they can atleast pretend that the stuff they're making are just NC-17 movies rather than pornography. It would probably cause a revitalization of low budget cinema.

At least low-budget exploitation films had the decencey to give us some action scenes or a slasher/horror flick.

For the same reason that every other form of prohibition is retarded.
I would also like to add organizations like Fight the New Drug, are largely fear mongering organizations that call for government control of the internet while wrapping it in a moral crusade.
We already tried prohibition with Alchohol. It creates MORE crime and degeneracy. Not less.
Porn is bad, but banning porn is a terrible idea that enables further censorship of the web.

Out of curiosity do you guys support the ban of child porn?
