I don't know if he really has a hateboner for musk or if he's just riding the latest wave of musk hate since there are tons of other ytubers doing it to get those shitlibs rageclicks after all of them went ape because the richest african american bought their favorite internet echochamber and let all the riffraff in, plus the additional buttdestruction of making the coveted bluecheck accessible after some people paid twatter employees upwards of $10k to get theirs, I shit you not.

But back to thunderloop, I'm saying this because he has this tendency to dickride whatever is trending. He went big on GG and antifeminism back went it was still profitable and wouldn't get you cancelled. The solar roadways and kickstarter scams? he wasn't the only ones deboonking those, not even the first, tons of other ytubers were and ones like EEVblog (I think that was the name, some aussie guy) did a far better/less boring and smug job at it.

So this might be just for the clicks as always, will he start ranting against AI now that those videos are getting clicks?

No joke, dude has been there since almost the beginning, around 2007 or so, back when ytube was still considered an unprofitable joke but was just about to take off. But he's like a living fossil of a late 90's/early 00's liberal atheist, even down to the greasy ponytail. His videos are more similar to early ytube videos in editing and style than anything made in the last 10 years, he has a million subs and yet refuses to improve, hire an editor, get better hardware, then copes when upstarts get more views and subs than he does.

So is he thunderloop or thunderboomer?

Says the guy who makes much of his living off youtube making videos about shit he doesn't understand. So yeah, he does exactly that. He's also simping for the country thats losing the war. He should come up with quite the angry ranting video when the inevitable happens there

As much as I hate his current form, he was a good before he caught Brexit-deranged and Trump-deranged. Part of me even regrets him being turned into a soyjack because unlike almost all of the other pompous self-proclaimed-intellectuals in the woke movement, TF genuinely only buys all the bullshit because he thinks its objectively verified and provably correct. Whether it came to deboonking Sarkeesian or creationists or making a video mathematically documenting his weight-loss and talking about calories in, calories out, he always stuck to the facts and numbers and up till about the time he fell out with Sargon this was the case. Sure his vids had retro internet vibes even back in 2016 and he never shuts up but despite being insufferable, he was always verifiably correct.

He's also a professional academic who's published papers and apparently the people in publishing and peer-review aren't concerned with his autism outside on the internet.

lol I just clicked into this thread to finally be surprised by his first non-musk video in what feels like a year. He's gone after two bit da vinci before IIRC, very low hanging fruit but a welcome change. But so far the style seems more similar to his contemporary videos where he spends half of the video belaboring the point.

Like others have said Phil is actually an intelligent person and I think he has the big picture right on Musk (he is a bullshitter, most of his businesses are scams, the mission architecture of their lunar mission is moronic, Mars colony will never exist) but wastes way too much breath on it and his hate for SpaceX verges on derangement. My conspiracy theory is SpaceX is a front for Brilliant Pebbles 2.0 and all of the hullaballoo over exploration/pipe dream mars colonies is just diversion. Every capability they've actually developed and demonstrated would, purely coincidentally, be highly useful for such a project.

I'm not simping for Russia, but one needs to have their head pretty deep in their ass to think that Ukraine is winning or has any chance of reclaming their '91 borders (with the exception of civil war or a coup in Russia, which are highly unlikely) . The thing is that I have a lot of such retards on my workplace.

So basing on the bullshit my pseudo-intellectual co-workers are saying and the current situation on the front, my prediction is that Phil is going to make a video explaining:
- how Ukraine is totally the moral winner of the war, despite losing ~20% of their land
- how the land won by Russia is completly fucked, because it goes to Russia (hey, this one would be even technically correct, but the land won't get much more fucked than now)
- how the remains of Ukraine is going be second South Korea after all the money USA and EU are going to pump in and actually losing the war is the best it could happen to Ukraine.

I think it's interesting how every entrenched academic I know, and that's about two dozen, all accept the basic propaganda uncritically in regards to politics since about thst time, even though they have plenty of dissenting voices in their gaming friend groups. There literally isn't a single one who entertains the idea that they might be wrong or that there might be valuable contradictory information. They agree on all the basics: reproduction crisis, personal motivations of scientists, possibility of academic corruption, but refuse to entertain seriously things like groupthink, that there might be something to o keefe hidden camera interiews with pfizer and so on.

It absolutely baffles me. I don't know why. Is it like twitch streamers, where they know if they start to allow themselves to consider these things they know they lose their position? Or have they been preselected to be exactly the people that never would?

Off-topic, but it's always funny to me when I see people - especially leftists - talk about Musk's Xitter losing money as being indicative of poor financial decision making, as if the point of the richest man in the world buying Twitter was to make money instead of using his wealth to ensure the site avoids getting more censorious.

Musk couldn't care less about "muh free speech". He's addicted to twitter and understands it's impact on "culture" (american retarded culture kek).

Maybe. Everyone's standard for freeze peach is so different and I think most people tend to treat it as a qualified right as opposed to something absolute and indivisible at all times. I respect Musk for taking even a nominal stance for someone of his position and I think Twitter would be a worse place without someone like him.
I find it hard to really hate him outside of being a weirdo sperg who abandoned his original family and makes cars for rich wankers. Part of it is because I hate the people who hate him more. Same shit back in 2020 with Jeff Bezos. I have such an insufferable, visceral hatred for "eat the rich" leftists that I can't begin to treat them with respect even if they're completely right.
Thunderfoot doesn't seem like that kind of guy but whenever I see someone like him throw around words like "fraud", it makes my eyes roll. As someone else mentioned in the thread, it reminds me of people bringing up Trump's 4 or 5 failed businesses to discredit him as if entrepreneurs don't have failed ventures.

Eat the rich leftists are even more frauds than Musk ngl. At least the Iron Man Wannabe Nigga is selling products with some value, inconsistent and astroturfed on some cases, but he is not forcing ANYONE to buy them. The saying goes hate the game right? If someone gets conviced by him to develop a memeloop it's that persons fault, not Musk's.
