If you're familiar with my posts you probably know I can't stand Elon and consider him a boring milquetoast conspiracy-driven, easy to influence boomerservative, and I ate a lot of Dumbs and Autistics for that in his "owns Twitter" thread.
So I would be the ideal audience for Phil's videos, but they are so idiotic and obviously driven by irrational hatred that I just reflexively downvote them the moment I see them suggested.
I can't figure out what sort of brainrot has afflicted TF. He used to be one of the funniest New Atheism guys and his audience at times would rival Sam Harris', which is quite the achievement. His dunks on feminism were often on point, funny and savage.
I understand hating on conservatism, I despise it too (for different reasons), but the amount of MATI he indulged in after trumpism is just off the charts. Nobody would've forced him to be a Trump dick suckler. Just stay in your skeptic line, and be honest about the new things that were discussed in the bloodsports era, like race, trans etc. That's what a skeptic mind should do, yes? Honestly approach subjects, regardless of how controversial.
Instead he just shut himself off and started reeeeing at everything related to that and completely stopped dunking on progressivism as if it never even existed.

I liked his content back then, because I was probably edgy and into dumb shit, but I distinctly remember watching a video where he was in person "debating" Christians and instead of making calm and collected points whenever the Christian would say something TF would grab his head and swing back and forth in a theatrical way while scream laughing at them "Oh my god you don't even know how to ask a question! It's a malformed question you're asking me! I can't even answer that because it's not a real question!"

I'm not even religious and I was an edgy atheist but that made me think he was a homo it was so over the top. Then I think it was Jim who pointed out in the span of a couple videos TF first said how Anita was a crook for charging for a Discord server when he was able to set one up for free in seconds, and then when the Kraut Discord gay ops leaked and people pointed out he was part of it, TF claimed he couldn't figure out how to use Discord at all and he was too much of a boomer to understand such things so he was an innocent good boy.

I don't think TF was ever good, I think he happened to target feminists that were so shit he seemed passable in comparison.

I'm amazed how much of this video is just him stroking his ego, it must be tough for him to be mostly irrelevant and need to constantly reassure himself he matters on some scale above that of a random Youtuber.

What annoys me most, is he makes some good points but his smugness and terrible analogies kill it. Musk, despite being a shyster is not the same as Holmes, neither is powdered alcohol, which is a dumb idea, the same as pouring alcohol in a maxi pad. The difference being in the latter should be easy to see, as a powder is a dry good which can be transported and inspected differently than a random alcohol soaked rag that you need to throw in a bag or bottle anyway so you might as well just pour the alcohol into that.
