Outside of other lolcows and twitch thots I have never seen anyone beg the way Phil does like literal beggers beg less.

Everybody's defense is always "everybody does it" when it comes to his begging. Where? I guess if you literally just watch e-thots, camgirls, "just chatting" streamers, and people of that ilk, you'll get a lot of beggars, but I struggle to find other people who beg like Phil. The vast vast vast majority of content creators (streamers and Youtube creators) get their revenue mainly from sponsorships & partnerships, ad revenue, and if they're streamers, probably memberships.

Phil's model is the e-thot or camgirl model, with no payoff, heck he puts on clothes. It might actually be worse, because even the people like that who do lots of begging typically have long goals, so a big day isn't pigeon holed like Phil does it. It's been a while now, but Phil will pocket audit the fuck out of a stream if its slow, and holy fuck if 2 are slow, you'll get a team meeting the next day on ideas of why this happened.

Like others are saying, and you yourself said, having to explain this to people really gets annoying. I don't even think you can call it pocket watching when the person spends a considerable amount of their time on stream doing the Monopoly guy broke meme. If you ever find yourself saying "X isn't that bad" maybe stop and figure out why people think that before whining up a storm.

I have to disagree, some of my favorite posts to read are the ones that get 100 neg rates and I'd hate to see them discouraged. I'm just tired of the bickering between both sides that has been happening a lot recently. It's not even funny to read, it all boils down to: "Phil raped and murdered a girl behind a Denny's in 1994" and then: "So? There are literally millions of rapists in the country".
