Europe was *supposed* to get cheaper imports from Russia and the ability for its businesses to hollow out its successor states in the wake of its economic collapse and fragmentation. Now all it gets for going along with THD is backpats from Washington.

America in the short term benefits because Europe is now more dependant on their exports as well as giving the ability to further nag it's own people into supporting the war to overthrow their 2nd biggest rival on the global stage as the alternative would be to "betray our allies and leave them at the mercy of Putin".

What did Germany gain from listening to its Greens and killing it's own nuclear industry?
