At least one American-24 year old David Joseph Miller, call sign Shaggy-who joined the Carpathian Sich National Battalion back in 2022, has been reported dead in the Kursk region.

If they're going to talk about the number of Ukrainians who fled since 2016, they should talk about the number who fled since 2014 and make clear that about half of the refugees from Ukraine fled into Russia.

EDIT: Lets include this classic about who edits Russian entries on Ukraine as while we're at it:

100%. It should also be mentioned that if Russians wanted to genocide Ukrainians and "erase" their culture, they could easily be doing it in comfort of their own home, in Russia, since there are quite a few living in Russia already. 5.4 million. Plus why speed up the genocide, if you can chill relax and enjoy some of these:

Why do the Ukrainians insist on wrapping themselves in this shitty bright blue tape?
So they don't get killed by their own side.

Imagine being dumb enough to not only invade Russia as a side quest, but also flaunt the fact that you're a foreign mercenary. Darwins all round.

>APC M113
Ain't no way they're sending those bad boys out in 2024. That thing is literally a 1960s aluminium cube on treads. Once again, they're sending things that get taken out by .50 cals into frontline combat.
Dunno why Herbert thinks this is dumb, the M113 was already regarded as a death trap by 1973 when the Israelis lost a bunch of them in the Yom Kippur war.

"Metal box with a .50cal and protection from small arms & artillery shrapnel" was peak APC (IFVs excluded) technology until the late 90s and early 2000s, when military big brains figured it might be a good idea to protect the men against higher calibre weapons like dushkas & KPVs which can be found in near every conflict.

The BTR series isn't much of an improvement. It has better firepower with a turreted KPV but it's notoriously difficult when it comes to dismounting the men. Unlike the ramp at the back with the M113 and similar designs it has 2 shitty doors in the side (and top) which are a tight squeeze at the best of times let alone in combat. Its protection is abysmal with 10mm of armour max on the BTR-80.

Ukraine can be criticised for many things in their conduct in this war but using the M113 for it's intended purpose isn't one of them. It's better than the alternative which would be an unarmoured truck or marching in the open.

Ukraine is doing pretty well in Kursk, not so well in Donbass.
Even if this is true. When did this ever workout? Every Scottish uprising ends with the Scottish people turning on each other while Scottish forces were getting close to invading London. The last thing Ukraine wants is to be compared to war time Scotland.

"Fear of the fish sticks crisis!"
"Foodstuffs have so far been largely exempt from import bans. Until now! Now, an import ban on Alaska pollock is to be introduced in September."
"The industry is alarmed! Steffen Meyer (44), Managing Director of the Federal Association of the German Fish Industry and Fish Wholesalers: “There is a threat of enormous price increases. The German market is also dependent on fish from Russia. We cannot do without saithe and cod.”"
"Meyer warns that there is a risk of a shortage of raw materials and supply disruptions if there is an import ban. In plain language: empty refrigerated shelves are imminent!

The association boss goes even further: “Around 1000 jobs in fish processing would suddenly be under threat. Three years would be enough to kill our industry.” Horror scenario: production is moving away from Europe, fish sticks will soon be coming from Asia."

"American press about the Kursk offensive: “Fundamentally did not change the general course of the war”"

"“Ukraine's sudden invasion of the Kursk region has not changed the overall course of the war, but it has already struck far beyond a few hundred square miles of Russian territory: It has plunged the Russian government and society, which had largely adapted to the war, into a new phase of improvisation and uncertainty,” according to the Journal's piece.

The Ukrainian invasion has put Putin in a difficult position and made the Russian public feel the effects of the war more strongly, The Wall Street Journal said in an editorial. "

"Ukraine most likely wants to demonstrate to Putin that as long as there is no peace in Ukraine, the Russian people will not sleep well either, the authors of the material published on the Fox News website wrote. At the same time, the publication cites the opinion of Rebekah Koffler, a strategic military intelligence analyst and author of Putin's Playbook, who believes that Putin will use this opportunity to reinforce the narrative that “this is why Ukraine must be defeated and this is why we must fight against the Ukrainians."

"At the same time, the authors of the article note that “the continuing damage to Putin's authority” does not mean an internal threat to his power, and the AFU offensive in Kursk Oblast “has not fundamentally changed the situation in the long, grueling war of attrition.” Russia is still advancing near Pokrovsk, dropping bombs weighing up to three tons on Ukraine, and Ukraine is prohibited from using Western weapons to strike military targets deep inside Russia, which could ultimately have a negative impact on Ukraine's successes in the Donbass."

"The authors of the article “Has Zelensky fallen into Putin's trap?” published in Newsweek magazine share a similar viewpoint. The authors of the article write that the invasion is fraught with depletion of Ukraine's precious reserves of manpower, continuing: “Capturing a few dozen Russian border villages at the cost of many lives and equipment will not help, the war will not be resolved in Kursk, the most strategically important regions remain the east and south of Ukraine”."

"The Kursk offensive of Ukraine is a huge strategic mistake, believes the author of the article published by The Hill. The article notes that the Kursk offensive diverts critical resources from the main battlefield and brings little strategic benefit."

"The F.B.I. raided the homes of two prominent commentators on Russian state television channels as part of an effort to blunt attempts to influence November’s election."

"The Department of Justice has begun a broad criminal investigation into Americans who have worked with Russia’s state television networks, signaling an aggressive effort to combat the Kremlin’s influence operations leading up to the presidential election in November, according to American officials briefed on the inquiry. This month, F.B.I. agents searched the homes of two prominent figures with connections to Russian state media: Scott Ritter, a former United Nations weapons inspector and critic of American foreign policy, and Dimitri K. Simes, an adviser to former President Donald J. Trump’s first presidential campaign in 2016. Prosecutors have not announced charges against either of the men. More searches are expected soon, some of the officials said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss investigations. Criminal charges are also possible, they said."

From what we've heard recently, it seems the Kursk invasion was planned in conjunction with the Brits, whose faggot government is desperate to "prove" you can invade Russian territory without being nuked.

The Brits want to escalate the Ukraine war at the expense of the United States, by creating a situation where USGOV might feel compelled or emboldened to directly intervene in the conflict - which is the only chance Ukraine has left to not suffer a horrible crushing defeat. DC isn't taking the bait so far, which is why the press reaction has been so downbeat.

Not sure why the British government wants to start WW3, which they would lose in under 48 hours, but I guess AIDS medication does funny things to the human brain.

If it was a fully US supported operation I would think that it'd at least be getting consistent praise in the media yeah.

When Trump wins the spigot is being turned off so this is their last hurrah. I think despite Poland's barking, they have been relatively quiet about the Kursk debacle, since they know the West wants to make them the next Ukraine once Russia wraps this up. I have the impression most Poles are fully dead set against it. They're already sick and tired of the hohols clogging up Poland and they aren't shy about saying so.
