Kemp positioned himself as a down old southern conservative and sucked up to maga hard to get on and it was revealed he was basically a dubya.

Republicans in Georgia are controlled by neo cons who are fine selling everyone to get hollywood and tech companies to build studios and campuses so they can get a cut. Think of them as the natural evolution of boss hog. They also have a detente with the Democrats of the state where they let Atlanta turn into a southern Chicago. Some of them are aware just how dangerous letting that happen is. Hence the electiok reforms that happened. But as long as they are getting their slice its all good. Look who Kemp sent to the fucking senate for instance. The Loeffler bitch.

For other drama Kemps Daughters fiance car got exploded in a "accident" right when he was going to look into 2020.

Fundamentally Kemp is at best a fence sitter. Trying to placate Maga and Neo Cons at the same time. He's pretty clearly a neo con but knows he has to placate Maga in his state. Hes let Fani Willis run amock in Atlanta and its very likely there is dirt on him. The Republicans and Dems in Georgia have some MAD style blackmail arrangements with both being corrupt as fuck.

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend isn't that Kathleen Kennedy. That Kathleen Kennedy is just called Kathleen Kennedy and she's married to and was in a producing partnership with (until she had to leave to become the new head of Lucasfilm, unfortunately as it turned out) fellow film producer Frank Marshall. Clearly he's the talented one in that relationship and she just got Steven Spielberg coffee.

Need a couple of weeks before anything solid comes out of it, especially with the post-DNC noise and ludicrous number of biased push polls.
Current cross-tabs at least show Trump collecting ~50-65% of Kennedy's vote though.

You just jogged my memory about something that I heard on Glenn Greenwald’s “System Update” podcast this week (it was his August 15th episode).

Apparently, after the Hillary Clinton emails thing from 2016, and the Hunter Biden laptop thing from 2020, the overall broad “journalism community” made some kind of rule for themselves that they would refuse to publish any “hacked/leaked info that comes from a foreign source”. Where this comes into play is that apparently the 2024 Trump campaign email hack leaks were furnished to some MSM “journalism” outlet. The emails were hacked by Iran, though. Do they really hate Trump enough to hypocritically contradict the same rules they put in place that apply to this exact issue? The video linked below explains this better than my retard ass could, but it’s still an interesting example of what you mentioned; the MSM is hoisted by their own petard when it comes to “we can’t afford to compromise muh democracy by publishing muh foreign hacker info!”

I don't care if a politician 'cares'. I care about actions, not 'I feel your pain' talk we get from democrats. I don't want parasocial style relationships with a politician, I want them to do what they say they will. Republicans have a lot of problems in that area, but needs work. But I sure don't want this cultish 'joy' and 'vibes' and 'weird' shit to be all these emotionally stunted losers vote on.

Americans get the polititans they deserve. The vast majority of Americans have given up hope and trust in their country. Why wouldn't they elect the same sort of people?
