On that subject I thought it was so strange how much the speakers at the convention relied on personal anecdotes.
If your running for office, argue the issues at hand. If the issues are against you, tar your opponent's character. If the both the issues are against and the opponent's character unassailable, inflate your own character.

place your bets on the next polls. how much will they have to oversample dems to get Harris ahead? 10? 15 points? they went as far as 8 points to give the illusion of a close race. so anything is fair game. Will they come up with a new trick?
They will just over sample/poll women. That has been their new trick in polling along with crazy weighting of dem +6 to +10. Polls are done to manufacture narrative at this point and are a train wreck. I mainly just follow Rasmussen or Peoples Pundit on twitter/X to at least get a somewhat transparent view on things. In terms of how they are polling the current environment and their thoughts on current polling.

There's a huge part of me that thinks it was Taylor Swift ... Especially if we're going with the "cold feet" theory.

She had just ended her shows in the UK, which were a security risk for her due to the riots and violence happening there ... Wouldn't be shocked if the "Free Palestine" protesters in Chicago spooked her away.

Also, we had multiple Taylor Swift references made by some of the speakers spread throughout the convention. Makes you wonder ...

Some people think this photo Taylor Swift posted isn't her endorsing Kamala but turning her back on her. That's why the Kamala-like figure is walking away into the background while waving, like saying goodbye without looking back, and Taylor is giving her a dismissive wave-like gesture with her back to her. Although it does also look like she's in the middle of doing the OK sign.

All I'm saying is this about Tulsi: During the 2022 Midterms, she actually went to bat for some MAGA candidates. Helped campaign for them too.

She's been literally placed on some "list" by the Biden and Harris Administration. People like Hilary Clinton and Mitt Romney have called her a Russian asset who deserves to be tried for treason. Translation: the Deep State wants her dead.

I know that people on the right argue whether she's trustworthy or not ... But considering the enemies she has made in recent years, I personally believe that she's over the target more than a lot of people give her credit.
The wildest shit to me is that there's some hope for up-and-coming gen-X and millennial politicians on both sides, but the DNC is pushing all the left leaning ones into the GOP.

I'm starting to think that if the GOP adopted superdelegates, we'd all either be dead or hooked up to biomass electricity generators. Hillary would have had an 8 year run after beating Jeb in 2016 and beardless Ted Cruz in 2020. Fast forward to today and Stacy Abrams is leading Chris Christie by 23 points, and the SCOTUS is 6-3 democrat with 3 new female justices, including one trans indigenous perxon in a wheelchair. Mitch McConnell made a pact with the devil to live another 100 years serving as the senate minority leader, and he has already agreed to approve Presidentess Abram's inevitable 3 picks for the first 9-0, all female supreme court. The world stands in applause and world peace is achieved.

On that subject I thought it was so strange how much the speakers at the convention relied on personal anecdotes. ‘I saw her speak to some kid with respect,’ ‘I know he cares because he was nice to my son once,’ who the fuck cares? The president isn’t supposed to be your friend, being nice in person sometimes does not translate to being fit to lead a country.
They probably had to rely on personal anecdotes because there's really nothing else positive about her politically. But as far as personal friend and family circles go, she could be a very fun and loving aunt, and maybe even a good friend. Just... not a good politician. And not the most moral of lawyers.

America's Wine Aunt just doesn't really seem like an impressive title to have. And anything that comes out of her mouth save for batshit insane economic policy ideas probably aren't her ideas.

:cunningpepe:

They really fucked themselves over by strong arming the old man to be their guy.

If RFK pulls zero votes the Dems wouldn't have pulled every dirty trick imaginable to keep him out of the primary and off ballots everywhere.
He was popular among the people that were aware he existed.

Don't ask me why but I watched Asmongold react to the Kennedy speech. Watching his chat go through an existential crisis was entertaining. They tend to wait to see how he reacts before they commit, but a lot of people got passionate during the 1st half.

First 15 minutes - "Who the fuck is this and why does it sound like he's dying?"
25 minutes - "Fucking liar! Conspiracy theorist, paid shill!"
40 minutes - clapping hand and crying Pepe emojis
The ending - Everyone spamming "based"

It's really depressing that Kamala has so little going for her that voters are being actively encouraged to imagine her as someone's mom or friend to build pathos.

Quite possibly one of the most unpopular politicians in US history.

I watched that too lol. Half his chat goes with anything asmon says, half against. I think that's probably the typical online younger audience though. Mindless drones mixed with some decent people still that can think. For reference:

Anyone acting like it is not big deal when someone who was taking 4-5% of the vote in battleground states telling their voters to vote for someone else while shitting on the opposing party for disenfranchising their vote and being corrupt in a close election is not a serious person. It is big a deal. Which is why the media is in attack and cope mode about it.

Time is a flat circle.
No kidding. Compare the things he's talking about here to current issues. You could honestly cut it up and splice it with Kamala and have an attack ad with two seconds of work.
Socialism, welfare states, ranchers and farmers struggling, government trying to sieze farmland and sell it, and on and on and on.
Compare to Kamala being in favor of lowering the recommendation for red meat, price fixing, taxing the rich, abolishing private Healthcare.... It's actually a bit depressing how this same battle is still being fought.

ugh, only about two full months to go. At least I'll be busy next month so it'll go by faster then.

It's really depressing that Kamala has so little going for her that voters are being actively encouraged to imagine her as someone's mom or friend to build pathos.

"President Wine Mom" really doesn't sound very good. Imagine her going to a UN discussion with Russia and China with a speech that goes like “Honey, let’s just… hic… take a moment, pour ourselves another glass of Chardonnay, and, um, think about this. Nations, darling, we need to come together, like one big, happy family. No more fighting, just love, peace, and, uh, a little bit of understanding. hic Cheers to a brighter future! Wait, what was I saying again?” 🍷💖

Harris hates her even more than Jill Biden hates Harris. You have to remember that in the only debate Gabbard and Harris were at together Gabbard destroyed her run to the point that the DNC had to sneak her in via Biden.

It's also why Harris is trying her damnedest to ensure that she has as little time on the stage with Trump as possible. I would not be shocked if they try to kill him again before the ABC and try to kill Vance in the process.
