Remember when Trump said he’d declassify the documents related to 9/11? Yeah this is the same shit. I also highly doubt he’d release the Kennedy documents, the CIA would never want the fact they killed him actually go out to the public.
I can definitely see the Kennedy supporters who were all in on the antivax stuff staying home. Unless Trump wants to spend his campaign courting them over with talks about how much he hates vaccines, the ones that went to Kennedy would want him to denounce Operation Warp Speed.

I doubt that fatty will draw many RFK supporters in the swing states. The ones who would've voted Trump would've already been voting Trump. Maybe in some non-swing states where more people vote third party (like if you live in Alabama, your vote really doesn't matter so you're more likely to vote for Jill Stein or RFK or whoever even if you would've otherwise voted for Trump or Harris). Most will stay home or vote for Stein or Johnson instead. They were already not voting for Harris or Trump for a reason so that's unlikely to change now

RFK Jr. was never anything more than a curiosity. For all intents and purposes, the Kennedy dynasty ended with Ted. There are some that still exist of course but they have very little political power (see: Joe Kennedy III losing to Ed Markey, something that would’ve been inconceivable a generation or two ago). RFK Jr. was never a serious contender and most of his support would’ve dwindled to nothing when it came time to start voting. He was never a threat which is why he was mostly left alone, even if he never said the crazy shit he did like having brain worms.

Much like modern day MAGA where Trump worshipers can't help but fall all over each other to defend against criticism or mean things said about Trump. Usually by calling you a commie or traitor to the country for not unquestioningly supporting him.
Not being an unconditional lover of Trump is now an indictment of your worth to live on your land and in your home because the default assumption is, if you're questioning things or have a problem with it, you must love or want to vote for the communist/socialists in the DNC.

The point is that Trump and the GOP were afraid that RFK would steal enough votes away in swing states to ensure Kamala's victory. Not a lot, but enough. RFK isn't even withdrawing from the race fully, he's just not campaigning anymore*. He ran to be a spoiler candidate for the Democrats but since neither Biden nor Harris supporters were taking his bait, meanwhile disenfranchised right wingers were, his plan backfired.
Hillary would've won 2016 with if she got around +1 point more in certain swing states (a margin partially stolen by Jill Stein/Berniebros since 2016 was the big "Protest Vote" year because they all thought Hillary was guaranteed to win), so they're afraid that Trump would lose those states by a tight margin with RFK's involvement. That's why he's only withdrawing from 10 select swing states and not the country as a whole. He's got some delusion that solid blue states still might be hurt by him a tiny bit to help Trump.
RFK's move matters about as much to Democrats as Tulsi Gabbard becoming the right wing's newest cheerleader. It has no effect on the party nor its voters whatsoever since no one gives a shit about them. Kamala neither loses nor gains many votes from this. RFK spent the last year and a half shitting on Trump so I doubt Trump is going to make many worthwhile gains from this.
What might matter is Jill Stein successfully grifting the college students who started caring about Palestine last October but even then that's a contingent of terminally-online fringe weirdos who've had a 10-month long diet of Palestinian LiveLeak videos streamed into their brains 24/7, a comparatively small portion compared to the larger voting populace.
*Suspending his campaign rather than withdrawing fully means he gets to keep all of the money he grifted.

It's isn't gonna take many, and if you think RFK jr throwing his support behind trump, and trump giving him a cabinet spot some of his people, well you aren't really paying attention. Maybe not much of a difference, but a few tens of thousands is all its gonna take to push him over in the swing states.

I'm just curious how many of RFK Jr.'s former supporters are going to disavow him after this. People keep talking about RFK's votes going to Trump or Kamala but they are kind of ignoring the fact that the reason he got votes in the first place is because he WASN'T Trump or Kamala/Biden. Him bending the knee to Trump pretty much is the equivalent of Bernie cucking out to Hillary as others have mentioned.

A lot of RFK's support was people who looked at a race between Trump and Biden and wanted literally anyone else. When Biden dropped, so did RFK's poll numbers. Him dropping out is meaningless because his support already evaporated.
