Gym bros tend to be the least likely to shit on someone for being fat. They're more likely to ask if you need help with equipment or point out wrong form. If you're an asshole and act like you know better while fucking it all up regardless then they'll laugh at you for being incompetent. They're more likely to cheer on the fat guy out of a genuine appreciation that they are putting in the work. It's practically part of gym bro culture; beyond just being so straight they turn around and become raging faggots, they also tend to be absolute pricks outside the gym but absolutely bros in the gym.

Haven't had any issues at any gym I've gone and nether has my wife. They give better pointers than the personal instructors the gyms have and if you have any injuries that need to be worked on or whatever there's at least one person who can help you with that. They're some of the most supportive people out there no matter your race, gender, or how fit you are. They can get competitive when you start lifting though, but that's all in good fun as they'll know when to stop.
