GBS is also for casually discussing things that would be discussed in a more serious and autistic manner in other forums. Like, for instance, if you want to just shoot the shit about comic book movies rather than have to read a bunch of insane Marxist critical analysis of a fucking Superman movie in CD.

The videos on his old channel had more views, but ever since DJB's falling out with a bunch of LP goons and Triplewipe he's nowhere near as popular as he used to be.

I remember DJB because he continued a riff of a shitty flash series Chip and Ironicus did years ago but never finished (and even had them guest commentate on the final episode) then deleted them because he didn't think they were funny enough. He was right.

So, the funny thing is, I'm not entirely sure all of this is entirely true. Shortly after I made that post back in 2015, I was contacted by another member (the presently inactive @guau) who told me a couple things:

I think you can best see DJB and triplewipe's views here - his attempt at an apology is replete with his rather forced positivity, and he inexplicably chose to end his very serious public apology to a girl who's accused him of being abusive with a Michael Jackson joke - understandably, she's unamused (if a little overly caustic, even considering the circumstances).

In short, I'm not sure anyone's really clean here. On one hand, triplewipe's tumblr-ish behavior and tendency to make claims with vague amounts of evidence (and sometimes ones that actually do have evidence, to be fair) leave me less inclined to believe her, and DJB generally seems like kind of a pussy - on the other hand, I can definitely buy DJB having anger issues in private (especially since he tended to lash out at anyone who supported GG/the Michael Brown decision). And of course PsyGuy's like Bill Cosby - even if some of the accusations are false, the sheer amount of them means that by the law of averages he's got to have done some pretty nasty shit.

It's a shame, since I generally liked his work on Retsupurae (yes, including Hopkins FBI).
