Don't ask for featured threads/don't complain if something does get featured, and don't abuse the tagging system, which are perfectly reasonable requests, but I can't imagine all this vitriol is solely because of those two issues.
It’s clear that there's a visible bias towards how new users are treated across different threads in the forum because of their history. For example, if someone wandered into the Cobra or Larson threads and started criticizing the locals' views, whether for being unsympathetic to Larson or for labeling Cobra as a sexist, pedophilic figure, they’d likely face immediate backlash and be moderated out within minutes.
