yeah we need to figure out where that was from and restore that, i think it was probably gibbed from the sprites in the video

if we ever go over the single-server population margin you can punt people to other servers easily, so my thought was have several stations that get load-balanced and if you really need to you can fly between them, so that if two people want to play together one can just fly to the other's station by getting on a shuttle. zeta sounds pretty perfect for that, and in the meantime it could become a z-level
I recognize that map, Donutstation (2nd ver) from Goon. RND ministation was called Zeta research station (The posted video has a "Zeta speedrun") and that should be in the RD's office. Is it the boxed thing I highlighted? That's from anomaly research sprites iirc. This is a newer version from when it was in the map rotation in 2017's LLJK US2 (GOON #2) server. You're looking for gooncode from 2010-2012 based on the video date, should be an "eldrich" or "martian" artifact sprite. If you have the old bay xenoarcheology research code that sprite should still exist.

In other SS14 news, they added shock collars for prisoner control, and then immediately said being "freaky" (read ERP) will be an instaban before removing the item.

I do think being able to, and actually suing servers for having closed source is based. The only examples of closed source code of spessmen have always been gay. SS14 and especially Goon come to mind.

I knew it was about to die as soon as I started playing with a bimbo character named "Candy Starlight" and he wasn't constantly lynched this time. I do miss the insectoid race, those were pretty rad.

There's an argument the AGPL changes causes the uniqueness of servers to go away due to the copying but I digress. If there was a clause requesting the source be posted in the even the original coders project left (eg: server closed down) that would be... interesting despite being infeasible impractical.
Regardless CM and ASHEN SKY were pretty retarded to openly copy /tg/ and then go "nuh uh we didn't break no licenses".

Only 13 this week about a third of which were pubbies. If more people log on, we get sorted higher in the hub and then get more pubbies augmenting population, so yesterday was a bit lackluster. I was extremely tired from returning from a 2 day thing so I do not personally have much to report on what events took place, I just gibbed a ooc in ic guy and started the engine a few times

Note to self and whoever roleplayed Nick that round: there IS a Court simulation available at the Holodeck, it completely slipped my mind at the moment.

Sometimes it feels like not enough people have antags enabled tbqh.
By the way, what does "NTD" in "NTD Intrepid" mean and is it some other space station that's friendly to Riviera and not Nanotrasen Central Command itself?
@geckogoy Just now noticed it and remember hearing it before on the server.
Opening a box without requiring you to drag it directly onto your sprite, what would that take? I could see that being a small point of frustration if you need to fumble around with a box in a dire situation.
Alt+left click takes the first item out automatically.
I like both the old "alt click to open" and new "alt click to take out the first item" box behaviours, even if the latter a bit more. In an ideal world, you'd have the latter behaviour only apply to containers full of the same items like donuts and grenades while the rest keep the former behaviour, but that would probably be hard to implement.


Another bug & feature report:
  • Add a dedicated place for clown and mime, full of different junk for pulling pranks and various funky outfits (perhaps a Theater or separate clown/mime offices);
  • Alternative to the previous request - add more outfits and junk to that dormitory room below the Tool Storage;
  • Reduce the minimal number of nukies to just 2 or 1, since 10 crewmen simply have no chance against 4 armed to the teeth ops;
  • Sometimes donuts won't dissappear from your hand right away when you fully eat them;
  • Add new Cargo shuttle orders for both an empty crate and an empty delivery crate;
  • Energy swords desperately need new attack sounds;
  • Security is losing power way too often even with engies aboard, might be a mapping issue really;
  • How do you even make money as a Cargonian other than stealing the station's crates, selling materials or completing contracts? There are a few roleplay options like selling Autolathe items, but I'm talking more about gameplay. I feel like there should be away to tell if the item is worth anything (you can currently do that but only if you have a crate at the ready) and more items should have some value so you could craft/steal various items and then ship them out to CentCom for a nifty price;
  • Easier alternative to the previous request - Cargo Contracts Console. Again, deliveries for various makeshift items or low risk general ones. Why does everybody get their contracts but not station-bound (lookin at u miners) Cargo itself?
  • ADD BALLDO WITH HILARIOUS NONSENSICAL SPRITES AND A "MOLESTS" ATTACK DESCRIPTION, EXAMPLE: "Nick Rekieta molests Hot Wife with a balldo!" I WANT THIS NOW NOW NOW!!1

Riviera, this is NTD Intrepid. We have been tracking a stealthed syndicate warship moving in and out of the system which we have now confirmed to be far larger than we previously thought. It has most likely deployed a tactical team, we advise you go to red alert. Intrepid out.
Maybe the ERT could be called about 20-30 mins into the round if there are enough available ghosts (a lot of ghosts -> a lot of dead crew -> shit is probably fucked -> ERT needs to step in)

This I agree with hard, not many people know that disposals are often deadly in this codebase so when someone gets disposaled their corpse will just lie there for the rest of the shift without anyone knowing because it can't be seen from the hallway. I think you only need to move vertical conveyors one tile to right and the horizontal ones one tile down for them to be in full view.

Good idea but they shouldn't be time-limited (because why) and should trigger a more powerful explosion - an operative should get gibbed instead of just having his head pop so that the crew won't get his items. I think it'd be better if they didn't cause breaches though, the crew is already underpowered enough

I did some testing and the RIG itself works completely fine, it's only the sprites that are missing/broken

That's a pure skill issue, whoever is playing engi when that happens is a filthy scrub. They just needs to start the engine quicker and that will easily solve itself, if worst comes to worst they can get their lazy ass up to security with a new power cell and swap the brig APC cell out with it. Sec as a department is the first area to lose power if the engine is not ignited within the first 8 minutes of a shift as the brig is very hungry for power (easily the highest demand out of any area in the entire station), it'll drain a 30k APC before you can blink from full to nothing if you don't keep it supplied. When starting everything up you'll notice that when you monitor power on the console in the SMES bay, it's the only one to jump up to around 17-19k iirc when the APC power cell drops low enough that equipment shuts down before you can get a charge to it

Imo nah it's easily manageable. If you quickstart (because blob round or something else catastrophic is kicking your teeth in) and don't fuck it up it only takes like 4 minutes, plus the station will stay powered for a decent amount of time on that anyways (so 2 SMES at 225000 output on max charge). At absolute worst it keeps the station going long enough for the crew to eradicate all blob cores then you can get back down and finish it up to provide more redundancy

Also sorry for being a double posting nigger but I kinda forgot to mention it, @MAAAD as a side note + so it doesn't seem like I'm bullshitting with it being feasible, the quickest I've gotten it done with my standard config (not a quickstart given those use half the amount of canisters I prefer to) is 3 and a half minutes for ignition, 7 and a half minutes to have all four SMES charging and the station fully supplied with power. Station alerts for low power in the brig, bar, dorms etc don't start to go off until between 8 - 10 minutes so it's very possible to get it all finished in time for sec not to lose power. The most time loss is spent waiting for the freshly ignited chamber to heat the pipes and get the loop mixes moving around enough to have the TMGs start outputting their generated power to the SMES. Plus when quickstarting you can cut that time in half anyway as you're using half the amount of canisters and only setting up 2 SMES

Continuation of this basically. I don't actually know how much of a lolsuit it is, there could be some stuff there because besides this there's also the attempt to get all their business partners to drop them which can also be a tort depending on how they went about it. Skye is apparently using a real law firm ™️ who thinks this has some substance. And C&D before lolsuit is standard practice. I dunno, I'm not a lawyer, and I'm not taking any furry at their word. Hopefully the lolsuit is substantial enough because it'd be extremely funny for this person that worked professionally on some (really bad) AAA games to ruin their life by showing every potential employer they are a massive liability. And over the dumbest shit, too.
