It's probably because his art style's reminiscent of 80's/90's childrens cartoons. Also, I think his art style tends to exaggerate certain body parts that other art styles tend not to, like noses (and for some reason the space above the vulva). There's also this focus on body shapes that aren't anywhere near an ideal shape, which is something that shows up in a lot of Tumblr nsfw art. I think it all combines to make something that's really offputting.
