I agree that stuff like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and most of the stuff on OG Toonami is mainly slop for kids and teen boys. Full Metal is certainly a step above that, but the mature stuff we got from the likes of Sunrise in the 80s through the 2000s doesn’t really exist anymore. Good anime seems solely in the occasional film and OVA, and the OVA market seems to be dying.

But I’d rather have my kids watching any of that than Troonsformers or whatever the hell American animators are making now. Clone Wars was the last great American animation. There is nothing remotely serious now. I never watched it, but the recent Star Wars cartoon set in the sequel period looked absurdly infantile.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a pretty massive show. Very deep. Tons of characters. Very Political. 110 episodes. Will probably never be dubbed into english. Fan subs only. There is a recent remake of the series with a dub. but its based on the novels not the ova.

Republicans are holding a televised investigation into the Trump shooting right now. Apparently, photos of Crooks had been posted into communication channels open to S.S. THIRTY MINUTES prior to the shooting, identified as a suspicious person.

I just realised why I love Musk and Trump so much and why so many normies hate them.
They are literally just people voicing their normal and obvious first level thought, without the filter of „hmmm but now I need to analyze it from the most convoluted angles to look smart“, while at the same time having an audience of millions.

Like Trump sees Mexicans storming the border and is like „why dont we just put up a wall“. He’s not dangerous because he has these crazy ideas nobody has, he is dangerous because he says what everybody is thinking - but normies believe they’re alone with these thoughts, and so they keep them to themselves. If a wall would help, the people in power would’ve built a wall already! Or the people on TV would’ve said so! Must’ve been a stupid thought, better not say anything.

a senator who's part of the bipartisan Senate investigation into the assassination claims that the FBI has been stonewalling them (A). i believe him. the forum will probably be a lot of wondering what the fuck is wrong with SS and the FBI
