This is how KC are actually (unironically) helping DSP. Banning Derich is good for him. Owning his toxic side is good for him. Being upfront about his gacha addictions would be good for him (unless he has to beg for money again). Doing less gameplay and more drama probably good for him (money wise)... It's not all 4D chess and sneak dissing. Positive meaningful Phil was definitely in a death spiral, unwatchable and boring.

DSP harboring a pedophile is more surreal than funny, and ultimately I’m gonna draw the line of laughing at the cow being more important than moralfagging at actual pedos being involved.

I'll always say outright: I do not care about Phil shielding Derich. Phil is entertainment to me, and on the long list of things that people do online that are heinous, Phil going "outta sight, outta mind" about a non-offending pedo might be a moral failure, but it's not even one completely impossible to empathize with (Phil tried explaining this on the KC stream but lacked the rhetorical skill to articulate it)

It was only ever a sticking point for me because:

1. It pointed out Phil's hypocrisy (claiming all detractors are responsible for the worst actions of the worst a-logs, even today implying Null bore responsibility for the bank hacker and whatnot, but for some reason he had no responsibility for Derich)

2. Pignotized interlopers coming in to say "BUT ALL PHIL DOES IS MAKE MONEY FROM STREAMING", while also being the same kind of people to virtue signal about how all trannies groom children and how they REALLY CARE about this

Holding Phil's feet to the fire on this was only entertaining and satisfying because of his own lies, hypocrisy, and past transgressions coming back to bite him. Had Phil GENUINELY lacked any knowledge of Derich's behavior, and just went "oh he's banned", then this never would have been a giant W for us evil detractors. Hell, it never would have even been a big DSP controversy amongst his own community members and detractors had he not bent over backwards with dumbass justifications and copes for so long
