Eh, part of any long running thread is getting off topic because the subject matter diverged briefly. The MovieBob thread is mostly reacting to Bob’s tweets and digressions about how Bob is wrong about something.

While I am on Bob, @Positron did Bob say anything retarded about RFK dropping out?
Oh, I know, I'm just mocking a few people who get mad every time a slow news day wanders a bit. It only after lasts until something interesting happens, it's just hard while Kamabla is hiding in the Girlbossbunker.

Tucker just interviewed RFK

One thing I don't blame RFK for but it just shows how much latent power Trump has, RFK seems much happier now, as though he couldn't handle the pressure of the campaign. It just puts Trump's constant willingness to do anything into better context that he is built for this.
What this interview shows me is that like Trump, Tucker, RFK Jr. and even Elon Musk used to be former disaffected liberals that are at least attempting to bring back normalcy into today’s politics that have been largely weaponized by Big Tech, Big Pharma and Washington D.C. politics.

People like this still exist in this country since they remember a time when coexisting with people from different political affiliations and values was a real thing.

Even if it is just a small interview like this, people “waking up” to the values that the so called progressive left used to preach and browbeat you over the head with is just nice to see.

Way behind on thread, but still have some thoughts to share...

Most people today couldn't identify the parts of a sentence or tell you what an independently or dependent clause are; see common misunderstandings and misrepresentations of the 2nd Amendment.
This has sadly been the case for quite some time. My college's required Composition 1 class was little more than a review of basic spelling, grammar, and sentence structure that was a rehash of K-12 English classes. Unfortunately, K-12 education has gone down the crapper 🚽 pretty bad since then, so I'm not surprised people today have no clue when it comes to good sentence structure and how to read at the adult level necessary to grasp the US Constitution and related documents.

Like what is going on here? Bump stocks? Who the fuck even knew they existed before Vegas except the real dedicated gun aficionados?
NGL, I initially thought bump stocks were those cheap/penny stocks sold on the stock market and promoted by spam and inside traders as an unsuccessful way to make money fast.

It was rigged, but Trump did have depressed turnout among the voters in the critical swing states which made it much easier and in a legitimate election would have been too close.
My suspicion was that Trump's open distrust of absentee voting in 2020 may have led to his loss in the swing states he won 4 years earlier. If Republicans took his comments as a reason to not vote absentee when in-person voting was either inconvenient or not an option due to COVID rules in place the time, that could have played a roll in his loss (along with the usual shenanigans to be expected in any big election).

This year, I hope he encourages voters to vote however they need to -- early, in-person, absentee, etc. -- to vote for him. It will make it that much harder for the usual shenanigans to work against him.

Nevertheless, I'm expecting Election Day 2024 to be much more contentious than 2020 with neither side willing to concede right away.

I bet RFK had to swallow a lot of pride to do it, and upset people close to him, but I really believe he made a great deal for himself, by endorsing Trump in exchange for a meaningful position in the government.

He won't just get to "lose with dignity" or say "well, at least I tried". In the long run those feelings don't hold as much meaning.
No, he'll actually be involved, in a high position, being able to enact some meaningful changes for the country. He could retire proud of himself and satisfied that he got to realize a big part of his dream.
Honestly it's the best case scenario for an independent runner, without a realistic chance of winning against both parties by himself.

He should be happy and proud of himself.

Must be nice lol. RFK looks like a really nice guy who ran for real, genuine desire to do good.

People shitting on Libertarianism seem to only be looking into the party through the modern lenses. I remember in 2004 the Libertarians were the only ones who were speaking my language at the time and the only ones who made sense to vote for, especially compared to John Kerry and Dubya. I'm still pissed that Michael Badnarik never even really had a chance to beat Bush, and he never had a chance to defeat Bush due to the reasons listed below in this post
I mean the issue with the Libertarian party is that they really are unserious in a National setting and basically don’t pursue power locally either. Every chamber of Commerce member I know loathes the Libertarian party because they are the guy who promises the world if they get in because they won’t get in.

They don’t organize well and ultimately come off as the freaks and losers of the Republican Party. The Democratic Socialists at least will get candidates into power even if they are mega faggots. They will organize and use lawfare to advance their interests. Libertarians really requires better principles because they’re loosely aligned individuals banded together by the idea of smaller gov’t without defining what that means to them.

Libertarians are also cursed due to having a hedge hog as their symbol.

Back then in that political climate the Libertarians seemed to be the best chance we had at fixing things in this country and Michael Badnarik was an awesome candidate that if seen and heard by enough people could have won but like Badnarik himself said, "the Libertarians are very unprofessional and don't even have campaign managers like Republicans and Democrats, the libertarians need to start getting serious" (paraphrasing). Today people will shit on the Libertarians because they have been co-opted by the dems and globalists. Think about it, how much of a problem the old school Libertarians would be to the modern day democrats, think if they actually had solid a candidate like they used to have in people like Micheal Badnarik or Ron Paul today. But no instead we get people like Gary Johnson and.... Chase Oliver *shudders*

The Libertarians are jokes today by design, it's intentional and it's scary and sad.

Or maybe it's just because their party symbol is a yellow hedgehog as @HodgePodgeRogerDodger said

Bonus Michael Badnarik clip I always enjoyed.

I've been thinking about this the whole day and it's likely that the Democrats aren't expecting to win presidential elections but local elections.
Can't win down ballot elections if the main candidate is dogshit that depresses turn out.

Her proposal to fix food prices is so fucking bad that I don't understand how the powers that be can root for her.
Trump is a man who after winning the presidency, that no one thought he would, has been
  • obstructed for four years by his "allies" during that presidency
  • had an election stolen from him
  • which was enabled by those same "allies" who obstructed his presidency
  • been investigated numerous times for political reasons instead of criminal
  • had his personal belongings, his wife's personal belongings and his children's personal belongings gone through by government agents
  • labeled an asset of a foreign hostile power
  • has had his personal reputation ruined
  • nearly bankrupted by said political prosecutions
  • has had city governments change laws, just so they could go after him
  • shot at, nearly murdered because of the rhetoric of the media (who continues to spew vile lies about him)
  • watched one of his supporters, one of the people who stuck with him, be murdered in the attempt to kill him
  • has sent his son away to another country, on the other side of the planet to ensure he isn't murdered
When Trump first ran in 2016, he didn't have a reason to be vindictive, to want revenge. He had nothing to be vengeful about. Now he does. Would you, being one of his enemies, want a man like that in the most powerful office in the land? I wouldn't. Better some commie cunt who is half on your side than the man you've made a mortal enemy out of.

There isn’t a sword used in any of the degrees.

Or people who would want to keep you from forming strong social bonds in your communities will try to convince you of evil where it doesn’t exist. What is more likely?
Back to your windowless cult building, Mason, there are no babies for you to rape and eat here in KF.
Ah shit, she's really trying to get out of this. 'NOTES?!?!' She needs this scripted too?!?

And Trump's just making jokes about it now, awesome.

By notes she means all the debate questions, like Hillary got.
why are we talking about jap shit in the american politics thread
Modern Japanese culture was massively sculpted by US culture on purpose, so in a way you can argue that it is an extension of American Politics. At least it's not the umpteenth 'nobody is allowed to support independent candidates in MY election' sperg out.
Boy they love trying to make her do these glamor shot style things now.

You know, I was beginning to wonder if they weren't really going to rig it for Kamala because they were letting some of the media 'rebel', with the criticisms of the DNC from Jon Stewart and CNN/MSNBC of all things, but then I am reminded that they gave Kamala the nomination without even letting anyone vote for her. They couldn't say any more loudly than this except to say it out loud that they don't care what you vote for - it'll be a vote for Kamala.

A thread this big covering such a topic is bound to..wander occasionally.

Speaking of

If Trump wins he will have much less problems going hard as this would be his 2nd term so he has little to lose politically. Driving deep in the swamp and doing as much damage as he can to slow the oncoming train wreck of globohomo is about the best thing he could do.

Not much will change, the bureaucracy and radical judges will see to that but maybe a few deep blows to the elites and the swamp creatures that make up most of the US government will slow then down, make them re-think a few things and maybe re-tool some of their ideas. Any extra time Trump buys us against the oncoming dark age will help.

But if Trump wins I expect the days and events of 2016 to come back but with a vengeance. Pussy hat march? Fuck that. Think million women march slamming into the Whitehouse. Think of all the riots and protests starting up once again. Think about the next St. Flyod and all that jazz. The only high note is that Trump can unleash the Nasty Gurls this time. He won't be worried about how the MSM will spin shit because they're going to turn him into Hitler 3.0 anyway so fuck em.

We're going to need the Roof Koreans back cuz the Soro's DA's will back off again and let the hordes rampage once more.

I watched about half of this interview as I gotta be somewhere but to add some interesting notes from this video so far.

- RFK Jr really doesn't like that Kamala's getting away with no press pressure. His Uncle and father prided themselves on speaking for their policies. He was taught that of you can't defend a policy or idea it must not be a very good one.

- RFK Jr notes that Biden admin went to the courts twice to get him off state ballots. His team had informed him his numbers would hurt Trump, but not Kamala. But outside some usual Trump comments at rallies, Trump wasn't doing anything to impede his campaign

- DNC hired "Negative info" researchers to seek out and contact pretty much anyone who ever interacted with RFK Jr. - he was tipped off by a person he went to AA with.

- he doesn't like the CIA, FBI, FDA trying to censor discussion online.

- I think he said in one of his recent cases he had evidence of the govt trying to censor him online. Meta removed his Instagram for "misinfomation" - he has evidence that Meta countered back that there was no misinformation- government said Kennedys insta had "malinfomation" as justification. Then threatened Meta with removal of their section 230 protection if they didn't comply.
