A lot of DSP's problems stem from his lack of balls to say what he really means.

If you run a sandwich shop and your customers and other local business owners are reporting that a shady character flashing his genitals in the neighborhood is a customer of yours (who comes in every day and doesn't buy shit by the way), don't you think it would look good for ye' old sandwich shop to ban him from the premises? You aren't losing a paying customer, you're setting a precedent for your current and future customers.

I can tell you with almost 100% certainty how Phil would respond to this: "the exhibitionist never exposed himself inside the sandwich shop's premises, and if he's out there flashing people on the street then it's the police's job to arrest him not the owner of the sandwich shop".

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but a part of me thinks Phil was expecting to come out of that conversation with Null saying "Phil you're totally correct you said nothing wrong, let me go ahead and nuke the DSP forum." but the only thing he got was having to publicly declare that one of his longtime viewers is a pedo and he has to get banned and having to (jokingly) fess up to WWE champions. That's why he's so dismissive/pissy in the decompression stream.

The best thing I have ever heard anyone say about DSP is that if you give him enough rope he will hang himself. Give it enough time be it weeks, months, or years, he will eventually just admit and confirm what detractors already knew about him. I forgot who said it but it has proved to be true time after time without fail.

For every stance Phil takes, there's always a clip showing him as a massive hypocrite.

He previously complained about how EVO organisers were aware of the rumours about Mr Wizard and chose to do nothing about it until there was overwhelming backlash years later.

Then again, Phil also would have been aware and he looked the other way. So maybe it's one of the few things he's consistent about.

As someone that used to lurk there and occasionally shitpost, just about everyone on the dsp discussion sub loathed Doody and were far more critical of him then the people that post here were/are.

I don't know if anyone could've done better especially with the Derich stuff. The fact that Phil still doesn't see why it's the correct decision to ban him shows just how far gone he is. If Derich was just a porn obsessed gooner it'd be one thing, he'd be good for a laugh but otherwise he'd basically be harmless, but the weird playlists of prepubescent girls that he called "pretty" and him following instagram accounts of underage girls is fucking disturbing.
