Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

I'm kind of kicking myself for not picking up a copy of the Switch version of Sonic Superstars when it was 10 bucks at Best Buy. I know it's a Switch version and it'll run at a shittier rate than other consoles (and PC) but at that price it's might've been worth diving into.

Oh well, I'm sure it'll go down again in the near future.
If you let it deplete and sit for like 2 months, and then try to charge it, it'll probably fry the SoC.
I have a nasty tendency of doing that with my Switch Lite, I guess I should do a better job of making sure it stays charged just make sure it doesn't happen.
For being an immediately sold out collectors item there sure were two new copies of NWC 2024 at Walmart today. And no, I didn't pick one up, might live to regret it.
If you're talking about the deluxe edition of Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition then Nintendo's online store still has it in stock. I'd honestly prefer the special Famicom edition just for the special Joy-Con controllers it comes with.

You won't. You already own all the full games and you also ended up being fine with skipping Paper Mario (which you already have) and like that time when you skipped the Mario 3D All Stars pack that you already owned anyway from years ago.

I really do regret not buying and then not playing Mario 3D All Stars. But only because its tripled in value.

Damn, that is actually kind of cool. I am also sure Epic Mickey will appear now that I am thinking about Wii games.
Its already been announced, I guess it could still show up.

Here's an interesting one, the official Brazilian CoD account retweeted/eyeball emojied a bunch of tweets about the direct and then deleted them all. They are legally on the hook to do something with Switch this year. Secretly a straight port of MW1 would blow what the other consoles got out of the water.

Surprised to see Tetris Battle Gaiden get acknowledged as having ever existed.

Graces F I would probably just play the PS3 ver but if you haven't tried it it's very good, very combat focused maybe my favourite Tales game.

New Atelier and Rune Factory looked good.

But yeah very weak overall. The indie section was some turbo slop fest.

That direct fucking sucked except for the new Capcom Fighting Collection (PROJECT JUSTICE!) and finally getting a date for the Suikoden remasters.
I thought that the Suikoden remasters would look a bit better after all of these years since it had been announced, but it still looks extremely rough and like they just kind of mashed random assets together. It looks even worse compared back to back with the DQ3 remake. It really is a good way to show how to and how to NOT make a HD-2D game look good.

I wish the Yakuza 1 + 2 collection on the WII U got brought over but god forbid RGG does any extra work outside of porting.

Tales of Graces f (and the Remastered Project) was enough to sell the whole direct for me. The whole direct could be unwatchable dogshit but if they brought Destiny 2 or Rebirth to modern consoles in english I wouldn't care.

The indie part was weak but the third-party showcase was pretty good, I was legitimately surprised by Yakuza finally getting ported on Switch (despite an old interview of the executive Masayoshi Yokoyama saying the Nintendo console didn't feel "underground" enough for the games). Not a fan of Kiwami 1 personally but I assume the other games (3-4-5, Zero and hopefully Dead Souls) will be released afterwards.

The Trials in the Sky remake is another pleasant surprise and I hope the new Atelier game doesn't follow Ryza's footsteps in gameplay design.

I'm cautious about the Capcom retro collection for eventual censorship concerns but wouldn't mind getting it if nothing bad is reported.

I haven’t. So I’m very happy it will finally land on a Nintendo Console. Like it was intended to.

I hope it isn’t broke to death. Because I’m convinced the Wii fuck up is why Nintendo Consoles have never got anything other than ports since.

I am annoyed it comes out just after Christmas though
