Admittedly, I didn't really follow the Legal Bytes situation that closely (barely at all, actually), but that wouldn't really surprise me at all, if true. Some of Nick's fans are known for being hyper defensive of him and prone to go after his critics.

Unfortunately for them: 1) There's way less of them now. 2) Those that are remaining are the biggest low IQ idiots. 3) Nick's biggest foe right now is the government, and the government doesn't give a shit about spergs on the Internet crying about their e-daddies.

I think if she had split from him present day, she would have suffered little penalty. People like Kurt, Andrew, and Sean seem to be doing just fine.

(Also, wasn't there some shit with DUIGuy? That might not have helped her either).
Shortass rundown: Legal Bytes and Hoeg Law disavowed DUI Guy for his over-the-top reaction to testimony in the Depp Trial. Nick and his cabal didn't. At some point Nick was talking shit, and Legal Bytes responded with a prerecorded response that was premiered, so it looked live on YouTube. I believe she privated the vid afterward, because the chat was full of trolling. It was a fun time.

It baffles me that the truest and most honest baldo washers are Vic era retards: absolute bottom-of-the-barrel anime avatar autismos who still think Nick saved their hero Edward Elric the Full Metal Alchemist from the evil anime convention roasties who attacked him for no reason.

I'm actually surprised legalbytes has been so quiet after the massive falling out and schism that happened between her, Rekieta and other lawtubers.
The one I'm surprised about is Faran. I really expected her to come out and demand validation since now there's no doubt Nick really told her what she leaked back then. What's more likely, that she got her life together and is staying out of internet drama or that she died from alcohol poisoning?

Wasn't really a falling out on her end. She sort of washed her hands of him when Nick gave a public response to a private question instead of just answering her privately. She figured they weren't really friends (she was right) and ignored him. Was Nicks followers that escalated the situation into the shitshow it was.
Don't make me defend Nick. Please God no.

Supposedly LegalBytes was one of the more vocal proponents of "share the money". Meaning whatever money gets taken in, it gets shared out.

It was always a dumb idea, since the more useful and skilled members would always wonder "Gee, why do I share my money with that dullard who never practiced law?"

Nick was generally right about her. She has no personality and a questionable legal background. She relies on other people to boost her trial coverage. Hate on Nick and I do, but 2 years ago he was at least entertaining.

LawTube is an interesting thing. Objectively? You'd listen to Uncivil Law for encyclopedia knowledge. Nate has been a cop and prosecutor, but his videos are more commercial than deep dive. You have Andrea Burkhart, a public defender. You also have Potentially Criminal Sean. Also was a prosecutor, now a defense attorney.

Other than that, LawTube is mostly a scam. They are either specialist lawyers commenting on stuff out of their wheelhouse or non practicing.

(Also, wasn't there some shit with DUIGuy? That might not have helped her either).
DUIGuy was making faces during the Depp trial and I believe she made some comments about how that did not fit the "decorum of the court" or something. I think she banned him from her channel, he may have shared private messages prior however, it was a weird and childish thing for her to worry about honestly.

I think a lot of it was practicing lawyers™ were entering lawtube after they saw how much money was being made. Lawyers tend to be extremely rules conscious and were not used to how Nick acted on stream. I remember when some of them came on Nick's show, especially Ron Coleman, they would always try to walk back jokes made by other or give "well we shouldn't joke like that..." statements. It was incredibly annoying.

He saved Vic by recommending Ty Beard, Nick's friend who lost the case by fucking up a simple filing and fled, leaving Vic with a $300k debt to his accusers.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Weebwarriors do NOT constitute most his remaining super loyal audience. There's probably a few Weebwarriors still in Nick's corner, but Nick told them to fuck off a while back when they were no longer useful/profitable to him, and most of them obliged.

@Himedall All-seeing Waifu has a shown several times now what the current audience is like. It's like a motley crew of wine moms, druggies, lolbertarians, Q-Anon conspiracy theorists, Juju fans, EVS fans, and other assorted weirdos.

Say what you want about weebs, but I don't think they are the bottom ring of the ladder in this particular situation.

I'm not aware of any legal-specific context for "belt and suspenders/braces". It is, or at least was, a not too uncommon idiom for redundancy. I'd expect to hear this from an engineer as much as anyone else.

Perhaps it's gone the way of sayings like "all mouth and no trousers", or correctly using the contraction of "have" instead of "of" to indicate you're not a complete niggerlicious moron. Many such counterexamples in this thread. Sad.
Some people have heard a saying, some haven’t. I don’t think that particular saying is some sacred cow to not be made fun of. I think part of the thread was drunk yesterday because if not, they were taking themselves way too seriously over some saying of debatable commonality. I only noticed it in the transcript as I hadn’t heard it & I thought it sounded goofy. I still think it does. Demanding people not to make fun of a funny sounding saying is perfectly homosexual for this thread, belt & suspenders.

Plus, the standard of evidence for the warrant isn't reasonable doubt - it's basically preponderance of evidence, and for that purpose, training on these sorts of behaviors would suffice even if imperfect.
I think I'm not alone in having doubts that Nick was literally on cocaine until the infamous Cokestream. He was acting so stereotypically like a cokehead that I thought "Holy shit he really is on the columbian marching powder" before he came back with white powder on his beak. So in this instance I'm perfectly fine with an LEO who has paperwork which says he's qualified to identify cokehead behavior making that determination.

It's not just about training, I don't know about Minnesota, but where I'm from the only people who can give testimony as to someone being drunk from their behavior alone are police. Others who give evidence would instead have to say they were behaving like they were drunk.

This alone is not enough to convict someone, of say drink driving, without additional evidence from testing, but the point is that it allows the police to then use that as a basis to require a breathalyzer test.

The point is, it serves as a bit of a legal fiction. Plus, the standard of evidence for the warrant isn't reasonable doubt - it's basically preponderance of evidence, and for that purpose, training on these sorts of behaviors would suffice even if imperfect.
Nope nope.

It's probable cause. Essentially it means you have some witness or hard evidence that gets you beyond a hunch. That's it. It's super low. A mandatory reporter, a former friend, not intentionally informing, and a messed up stream gets you there.

In the CPS case it was preponderance of the evidence. Hence why the Judge didn't buy Nick's genius strategy of "Well, if I don't give permission to see my positive hair sample and I say I can't say what all those drugs were doing in my bedroom in case I somehow compromise my possession case, these idiots need to return my kids, cos that can't prove anything!"

Unsurprisingly the Judge didn't turn off his brain and decided it was more likely than not they were using and went with CPS and Guardian to pee clean.

I hadn't watched him much for a year. I tuned in that night and saw him sloshed and clicked out. It was after the arrest I realised it got worse..

Why I stopped viewing? Darrel Brooks was my last. He increasingly got drunk, couldn't stick to topics and started inviting weirdos.

The Locals money and Rumble contract gave too much too fast. He was likely doing it all prior, on a less frequent scale, but accelerated after.

I've never heard it outside a legal context and I've heard it dozens of times from lawyers. Lawyers have a collection of odd idioms they use, many of which have largely passed out of common usage.

"All hat and no cattle" is a more common American one.
It sucks because I’m grateful for the group that did go, but seeing as all of the most important details were missed by them, and that the stuttering mess of white’s presentation wasn’t properly acknowledged kinda makes me wonder what they were really paying attention to.
Nick and his whore and his other whore and their garish outfits.

I agree, but this moment of online stupidity—Aaron's agreement to "fight" a supporter of Nick—further undermines Aaron's credibility and intentions as a witness for the prosecution. His actions, already questionable due to STMS and ex-wife legal issues, could be exploited by the defense to complicate the case if it proceeds to trial.
If they don't use him it's because they don't think it would be useful, but they use less credible people all the time, including people the jury know are outright criminals who cut a deal to save their own neck, even getting cross examined on the fact that they haven't been sentenced yet and their sentence is probably going to be based on how sweetly they sing.

:story:

I have no idea how you get any of this out of my or any other comment on this idiom. I was just adding my opinion that I was aware of the saying and didn't think of it being exclusive to legal circles. I liked that someone (you) pointed out what they considered a quirky saying and others offered their opinion on its use/context/origins. That's it.

TL;DR: lolcalmdown.

If one defines "fucked over" as Nick's actions causing serious damage to someone either monetarily or to their reputation, I agree with your list. I'd add a few.

Kayla's family. The Slettas and Woltjers must be very embarrassed
Monty
LegalBytes

He's been unsuccessful in going after the following but he's certainly given it his best shot: Elissa, Captain Manning, Strix454, Null, Legal Mindset, Sean, Ms. Sweep, and the officers investigating his case.

It's really getting to be huge. I don't think he hurt Monty. But Kayla's family, yes. His church, yes. Lives fucked. They now at best have to raise his children and forever be known as Nick and Kayla's family.

I define literally leaving a permanent mark, an irremovable blemish on someone's life that will never go away no matter what they do.

Nick is the apex nigger is what you’re saying, he’s a bigger parasite than the welfare leeches and hood rats, the final form of the genus niggus subspecies.

When you put it that way, his white bread ass statement to Eric July may have been accurate. He is the ultimate hood.

terrible with money, tons of kids he doesn't take care of, now blaming others for his own failures.
