• School choice is far from partisan, at least when it comes to parents making choices. Parents who identified as Democrats chose new schools for their children last year at higher rates than Republican parents––56% to 40%.

not only does this poll show school choice is overwhelmingly supported by conservatives, the poll oversamples them by quite a bit to get the numbers that they want

neither poll has a breakdown of results by sex. i'm guessing this would hurt their argument because it would show that women are less likely to support school choice, except for black women, which would spook off the very people they're trying to persuade with this data. if you removed black women from these polls it's very likely that support from democrats and independents would plummet. black women are famous for desperately begging for alternative school options because of how horrible inner city schools are

i don't get why it's so hard to understand that liberal white american women are the least supportive of school choice, and you haven't shown any information that shows otherwise. it wouldn't even be particularly surprising since they're behind every other terrible malady plaguing schools and society right now

Democrats have created a culture where teachers are literally worshipped, so many parents just trust them blindly.

Don't get me wrong, there are still some great teachers out there who are still trying to do a good job (only to be roadblocked by horrible administrations and school boards), but the vast majority of teachers I've come across are all the most self-centered and narcissistic people with martyr complexes I've ever met. Back when I was single, I made a point to make a rule for myself: Don't date a teacher. I held true to that promise, lol.

Also, our government has created a culture where most families need two incomes, and when both parents are working more than they are at home, they need the "free daycare." Republicans are just as responsible for creating this shitty-ass economy over the past few decades, and have been sitting on their thumbs about the culture.

A school district in my area openly called for a non-white, non-male superintendent to replace the black guy who retired from the position (and by all accounts was an excellent superintendent). They ended up pushing some poor Hispanic lady into the position who was celebrated at first, but is now being used as the patsy for all the district's problems. The district is also now being sued out the ass for the hiring because it violated existing state anti-discrimination labor laws. Turns out the Democrats forgot to amend the anti-discrimination laws so that they don't apply to white men. Oops!

It's amusing to watch, to say the least.

Yeah that’s just awful, I’d say I feel bad for the teachers getting screwed over by that stuff. But they cheer it on, especially younger ones. My states teachers union is pretty reasonable aside from their stance on troons and GSA.

The information I've heard suggests the teachers are fucking pissed because the former superintendent was basically forced to retire early. Everyone liked the guy. Local politicians wanted someone younger and female for the position, he saw the writing on the wall, and bailed.

So much of this shit could be prevented by schools simply refusing to hire people who openly state they are in the school system to do social engineering, but we don’t. I know there will be ones who pretend otherwise but it seems like a good first and obvious step to get out the ones who openly say they are there to do propaganda at the very least.

Luckily my spouse and I have a lot of good discussions and great communication which means I've been slowly redpilling him on trannies for the past few years after I peaked. It has gone from "they're probably mentally ill people just trying to live their lives" to "trooning children is child abuse and most adult trannies are fetishists or mentally ill and shouldn't be enabled".

So we have discussed it and we are both staunchly against any troon propaganda, critical race theory, anti-white sentiment, etc and will not tolerate it being pushed on our children without us doing anything about it. Whether it's talking with the children about it and making sure they remain curious and critical and aware of the facts or pulling them out of school if needed.
If he was tolerant of any of this shit.I likely wouldn't be interested in having kids together.

Children trooning out and going on hormones is what started the shift.
While I don't want to tell my children what to think I won't be shy talking about the facts and sharing my own opinion. The most important skill is critical thinking because if they can use that tool in school the propoganda won't be as effective.

But I also appreciate the advice if we do decide to go with public school. Checking in on what they're learning and openly discussing it and the actual facts, and supplementary learning and lots of reading being encouraged can help a lot I think. And not mindlessly trusting authority figures.

This is what terrifies me about my daughter starting kindergarten in a few days. I don't have the luxury of homeschooling at this point in my career, so public school is really our only option right now. It's even worse living in a blue state, even if I'm in one of the more conservative towns.

Being directly involved and up to speed about your child's education is essential.

This is what we've done through her preschool years, and supplemented what they've taught her. I'm hoping that my wife and I can continue to counteract any bullshit the public school system tries to push on my kids, but it's only going to get harder the older they get. Social pressure to conform will be harder to overcome.

What to watch out for etc. the biggest red flag is going to be seeing what their stance is on parental rights. If they openly say your kids belong to everyone and not you, run tf away.

It hasn't changed much since Miguel Cardona was part of it. He went on to oversee the shutting down of the state's schools during COVID and that got him promoted to US Secretary of Education. I already know it's pozzed, but like I said, it's really my only option at this point.

The only positive is that she's still young enough that the majority of her education is still done at home. I'm hoping that we'll be able to move to homeschooling before too long.

Well unless your state is like cali, Illinois, or nyc public school tier you probably won’t have to worry about pozzz until at least middle school.
