What would be the answer today, (with modern tooling and materials) to a specification to find a reliable ignition system, that would work in all weather and wasn't reliable on consumable items other than gunpowder.?
Not sure if they have the oomph to actually spark priming powder, but possibly a piezo igniter?

Most likely an electronic trigger. Just charge a capacitor and make a spark, you could even have it hand cranked if you don't trust batteries.

Ian has posted in the reddit thread. Karl's faggots have shown up the thread in drag and with as much force as their estrogenated arms can muster.

It's very interesting the comparison between a lolcow(Karl) and someone who is not(Ian), I think the Karl/Ian partnership is a good example to explain to normies what a lolcow is and who isn't.

Look at how Karl reacts to drama vs how Ian handles it.

True, Karl has no reason left to act normal unlike Ian who has to sell them books now lol.

According to the comments on that Idohoan Show video CVA apparently made a muzzleloader called the Electra. And yeah, that looks fairly similar to what I had imagined in my head when I made the comment.

The only thing I was thinking of adding was a little dynamo crank handle, kinda like one of those emergency weather radios has where you turn the handle to charge the battery. But that's not strictly necessary and is a total prepper crowd addition. You could even do something even sillier with putting a solar panel in the stock or something.

Remington made a model 700 with electric ignition too.

The E-Tronix or whatever it was called right? Seems kinda pointless on anything cartridge fired since locktime isn't an issue you have to deal with in the same way a flintlock does.

Crosspost from the Guntuber thread.

Karl is clearly getting frustrated with his audience concerning the Desert Tech video. They only ever seem to want to talk about the morality/religion/beliefs of companies rather than the product in his videos.

Hilarious to see a libertarian faggot getting frustrated with purity spiral lunatics.

I wonder if his Reddit audience freaked out about it like the Desert Tech gun?
This was back when I still watch IRTV regularly so it was at least seven or eight years ago. So probably not since he still had some credibility, his audience wasn't entirely whackadoos, and he still had a large contingent of FW fans in his audience.
Maybe he could revisit the subject, or perhaps review a X95?

I would love to see the reaction of his audience to “controversial” guns.
He won't. He's railed against bullpups in general (and the Tavor family especially) for well over a decade now and I doubt he'd be excited to tread that well hoed row again. I seem to recall the Desert Tech as literally the only bullpup he's ever liked and all his criticisms of other bullpups are all the same. The guy could honestly make one omnibus video called "bullpups and why I hate them" and cover his gripes with every bullpup in like ten minutes without even needing to single out examples.

Come to think of it, I think he and Ian did do that years ago on IRTV back during their "shooting sillhouettes in the desert" era.

its the gun and glove's fault that the slide bit me, not that i have fat hands (although this can be a valid complaint along with the no dry fire, lack of optic options, only right hand mag release, price, slide racking, heat issues, and optic height). But also I am glad to hear from your own mouths that the shooting in brutality matches really isnt of that high level. But also god forbid you get a current production gun scratched up... unlike say an antique g43 and putting it into a rocky muddy wheelbarrow.
And ain't no fuckin way he shoots that like he does a PCC with brakes, trigger and controls how he wants, and extra points of contact.
As for irons it would be interesting to see and also compare it with an island barrel like on some competition 2011s, and standard irons as well.
