A few pages ago, I said that I now hate remasters/ports (eg Dead Rising). And now you know what? Fuck these compilation cashgrabs. Sure, compilation packages are convenient to play for whatever system you're playing them on but there are too many drawbacks. Just pirate all these games. All of these games are on Arcade/MAME, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast etc and all easily emulatable. At least you know you're getting the original artistic vision rather than the [CURRENT YEAR] modern audience modifications.

Capcom Fighting Evolution: For those unfamiliar with the move, Demitri’s Midnight Bliss allows the Darkstalkers series mainstay to finish a match by turning his opponent into a ‘sexy’ – and if male, gender-swapped – version of themselves. Given that only “some” transformations are being cut, it’s likely those targeted were Guile (who turns into a blonde-haired pin-up girl) and Urien (who turns into a young woman wearing nothing but a traditional Japanese mizuhappi and shimekomi fundoshi). However, the cuts may also include/be limited to Rose’s secret transformation into Enya the Hag from Capcom’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future, as the studio no longer has the rights to use the character.

Demitri’s Midnight Bliss is a great example of Japanese game developer autistic attention to detail and genuine passion for their work. They could have just given him any super but just for fun, they drew unique sprite/art which you only get to see 2 seconds of.

Once the game is released, we'll see what gets censored.

Which is funny to me because the Kandagawa Jet Girls video game is rated T for Teen 13+ Meawhile, the anime is rated TV-MA 17+ for nudity. Well, it's not just the jetbike game that was that way. Senran Kagura was always a series with deliberately silly censorship on the game consoles, like having chibi faces of the character appear in front of the nipples or whipped cream underwear:

Sounds like Zed was redubbed (archive), probably because his original VA Jimmy Urine was accused of kid diddling a few years ago. I would qualify that as censorship but we'll see if they did anything else.

I'll believe it when I see it. Feels like there's a minor trend of game devs saying "no, we will not be censoring the game" and after it gets released, it ends up getting censored anyway.

This design has been frequently censored in other DQ games, but there was hope that it wouldn't be revised in the remake since it was the game that introduced the iconic design. The shield design was also changed.

There are changes so minute made sometimes that you can't help but wonder if they're made only to piss people off. Or in this case, to piss on a corpse that barely had the time to decompose.
