My friend from uni was relearning Italian and he played AC2 with the Italian dub and from watching him play for a while I could tell that literally every single performance except for Ezio's was fucking shit despite not speaking a lick of Italian. When I asked him what he thought about the Italian dub he flat out just said that it's shit except for a few characters and all the good ones are predictably being voiced by actual actors rather than bums they got off the street. Similarly I checked out the Chinese dub for Yakuza 8 and holy shit, it sounds just as good as the Japanese one and it's uncanny how they got VAs who sound exactly the same as their Japanese ones, meanwhile in the English dub Kiryu's voice becomes soy-soaked since he's being voiced by SoyYea and a bunch of other characters are also voiced by faggy influencers.

It's one of the tamer/weirder localizations that people got kinda endeared to it overtime. It's not the level of shit we've been dealing with from the last 10 years where entire swaths of texts get omitted or completely rewritten into unrelated shit in the US/Canada region english version of a game due to californians.

That's the reason I sometimes play games on mi native language, spanish. 13th sentinels was way more acccurate to the original japanese on the spaniard version than the english one.
I speak Spanish fluent too. I usually watch anime with Spanish subs since Cruncyroll English subs are too cringe. "とんでもない" [Tondemonai] translates to "No way" in English. But retarded translators would translate it to "Hell Nah" in the English version. Meanwhile, the Spanish subs will just say "Claro que no". = "Of course not". Its great that Spanish doesnt seem to have the issue of mentally challenged localizers inserting stupid shit.
I remeber watching recently.. AOT.. the english caption says "Now or never mikasa".... In japanese it was "Mikasa, imada " ... and in spanish it was "Ahora mikasa"....
