Going shock an awe on Mexico would create more opportunities for the cartels than problems. Sure we can punch holes into the big ones, but smaller ones would fill the void. Even then the cartels are crafty and are entrenched deep, they can adjust their operations to better survive what the US throws at it. As an example, they work closely with the government, press, army, and police. Let's say the US drone strikes a drug convoy that had some dirty Mexican police or soldiers in it. The Cartel calls up bought out politicians and journalists make a stink about the drone strike so it is now an international incident where the US killed uniformed Mexican police/solders. Now there is pressure against US actions and they need to be more careful with targets, giving cartels breathing room.

You are just going to have another Iraq and generate animosity. In the long run, you are better off colonizing Mexico through displacement/replacement. One of the major reasons why the US never annexed Mexico after the Mexican-American war was because it was full of beaners.

The irony is, around the same time, there was some evidence emerging of a link between measles and autism (the mechanism was said to be gut perforation releasing toxins that caused mass cerebral inflammation) and a plausible connection with the live attenuated measles vaccine, but after Wakefield's spectacular implosion, nobody wanted to know. Eh historically there have been dead end pathogens that just kill their hosts and then die out. It’s part of natural selection that sometimes pathogens evolve themselves into a dead end by being too lethal. Technically it would be best for a pathogen to never kill its host but they do even if it’s self limiting. You need to understand evolution is blind and sometimes things work out in ways that don’t seem obviously beneficial for the organism.

It’s really disturbing how mask off the dems have been towards third parties. Even more so that it isn’t even them just outright fucking them over. They use third parties when it’s useful and fuck them over when it’s not. This is just not even making an attempt to hide what they are doing.
