Men with disposable income and no real social life, not that hard to understand. Most are just filling a void because they either don’t have a wife/kids, or are in a miserable marriage. Now they retreat to nostalgic IP and try to collect them all to have some form of purpose.

The cartels are as powerful as they are in Mexico because they are so entrenched that they can get by with that shit, the police know they outgun them and the government is bought off.

Does Stiller not realise Kamala is the current administration? It doesn't matter. He's just blindly supporting and acknowledging that things are bad and need to be changed. He's been told to support Kamala. If anything it's more of a slip but it doesn't matter. The machine has told him to support Kamala and is a blind sheep as to why.

Which is something scary about this modern world. People just get told what to think and they do it uncritically. It's not new, when I first became more politically aware was in the lead up to the Iraq War. It was utterly apparently, transparently so that they were lying about WMDs. You just needed to actually listen to what they were saying, pay some attention and look at different sources. Think. Yet people just uncritically accepted the narrative.

What has gotten worse now is that we have information overload. There's no excuse for not understanding the bullshit, yet people have chosen and/or been manipulated into needing even less information. They question nothing the establishment tells them. Back in the days of the Iraq war lead-up, I'd at least get into arguments with people where they had some basic understanding of why they supported the thing. Even if they had incorrect information. Now you can't even do that, people have opinions strongly, they support things and they don't even know why. Yet as it's such a concrete belief they are distrusting of any counterargument. You mention something that is a 100% undisputed fact, they'll be distrusting and think you're pulling some tricky mind game on them.
