Would this not give him cover if that is ever actually investigated?

He was granted the bankruptcy and it will never be investigated. However, if he were indeed streaming WWEC at the time of his bankruptcy then yes that would have protected him since WWEC pulls were actually part of his stream.

between ad revenue, above average tips, and his genuine love for the game, he could do very well for himself with this, even as the hype dies down after the first few streams. stream . Assuming he could control himself, which he obviously can't.
My crystal ball is very hazy thanks to the absolutely whacko batshit stuff that's been playing out recently, but I really can't see any other outcome other than DSP finding new and creative ways to fuck things up. I just don't know how yet. Any normally adjusted person would just coast on this g(r)ift for a while...

Is there any risk of a creditor still wanting to look into this? I would think that by now, no interested party would be interested in revisiting this.

By now, Philip should be paying double to Scopely with two accounts and just go DOWN FROM THE RAFTERS.
Detractors would undoubtedly send his account details to any potential creditor but I think the whole situation is done and dusted to anyone not actively following Phil. He got away with it, as far as everyone directly involved is concerned.

This arc is truly bizarre and honestly the only good thing has been the Null interview.

Phil in the course of nearly 3 weeks has debased himself completely and gone against everything he has said. He clearly has questionable morals anyway with the Derich protection and his clear history of fraud and I am starting to think he is not LARPing as a king but Icarus. Phil has no restraint when he is "winning" because his idea of "winning" is just very short term monetary gain and nothing academic, spiritual etc. He also has a warped perspective of his followers and the types of funds they can grant him, the KC whale pool is somewhat smaller than I thought and the issue is too his old viewers do not like drama streams. I think he has opened Pandora's box with this one and he not only pretty much confirms that he is DFTR but its activated the part of his addictive brain.

My pet theory is Phil has a gambling addiction but due to the lack of funds presented to him when he moved, he chose gacha instead and honestly I don't think he has the intelligence to be a poker or cards player because there are many facets to it. Would I watch him FUCK YES I WOULD because he would get rinsed. He does not have the audience to make this sustainable and it is clear there are more than one of these games which is horrifying.

So, the theory is that the 5k business expenses from the bankruptcy are his normal expenses plus his WWEC spending correct?

Would this not give him cover if that is ever actually investigated? He can always reference this stream to show he plays this as a business expense. Not sure how that would work legally since that was in the past and this is current year, but if it does work it would be really smart of Phil. Not that I think he thinks that far ahead, but you never know.

5k/month in business expenses is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Lots of small businesses spend tens of thousands a month. The bankruptcy judge didn't even blink. All of that is well in the past and is never coming up again. He got away with it.

Maybe he'll even get some partnership/marketing job with Scopely if the WWEC streams keep going well. Dude has been crawling through a river of financial shit and may just come out clean on the other side.

Imagine Phil playing an IRL cash game of hold ‘em lmao. For as much as he lies he really is terrible at it, for instance every time he was asked about his Champs account or anything else really and he gets giggly and smiles while he’s saying “no that’s wrong”. Pretty sure literal 7 year olds could sniff that out as an obvious bluff. He would also tilt out almost instantly. I would love to play cards with Phil

I think his defiant defense of a pedophile because the detractors might "win" should tell you how this will go.

This assumes that he meant what he was saying there, which... would make sense, but would also make sense as a bad attempt at saving face/shielding Derich

Phil and Derich clearly had some kind of twisted bond, the nature of which I couldn't possibly untangle, so the whole "detractors can't win" thing could have easily just been a cope.

could probably accurately guess his hand based on how much his chair is shaking

I haven't been in the sphere for months, haven't logged in due to real life commitments and boring Phil. Decide to log in and see what's new.

Well fuck me, He's moved at about 600kh per hour in a single month. He's playing Champs on stream, he has friends, he banned the porn king of Canada, his Soviet Twitter is now capitalist and he actually seems to actually be changing for the better.

I don't know how much longer NewSidePhil will last, but I predict that the word "felted" will be banned in his streams before 2025.

Fair enough Phil, keep this up and you might actually do well. Admit your faults, be willing to actually learn from your mistakes and treat your audience with respect and you could actually become meaningful.

I think my brain have short circuited because of this. But when I was I child before the twin towers fell, me and a friend invented this game where we would play chess and one of those wrestling games for my dreamcast. Kill one Pice = one move in the game. The dumbest combination of anything ever. Well, NO obviously not. If you combine something dumber you have something people just keep paying for. The ultimate low effort carnival game where you can't win anything except an animated guy in a speedo.

It is just so funny to me how Phil could be in the deepest black hole of gambling addiction known to mandkind. And obsessed idiots somehow made this profitable for him. Is that right? Is that supposed to happen?
People pay for the stupidest things, specially if it panders to their obsession, like anime girls, wrestling, etc. If you want to make a game, appeal to the target demographics' autism, and wrestling has a lot of potential; these pretend fights and their popularity are truly a phenomenon in this world.
Admit your faults, be willing to actually learn from your mistakes and treat your audience with respect and you could actually become meaningful.
No signs of that happening.

I wonder if he can be pushed to play something like poker on stream. DSPoker has the potential to be as good as his SF 6 streams.
I doubt it. With Phil, it's not about gambling, it's about always winning. When he streamed that Jap game with the blackjack side game, he was giddy because he reloaded his save when he lost for an hour.

I think that Scopely would lose far more than they could gain by sponsoring Phil. I assume there are some WWE Champions players who hate DSP because their dumb gacha game has received so much negative attention and mockery. The WWE Champions Twitter account has to block every DSP shitposter because the replies are filled with Phil's photos.

Realistically speaking, who could Phil convince to play this game? Some of his dents who want to play in his "guild" but already give him money?

I've seen much bigger streamers with 3k live viewers who can't even get 10 new players to download "Raid Shadow Legends."
