Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

Would anyone care about NSP if not for Grumps? Because that's what I was getting at. If Dan had only been involved in Steam Train and it had petered out, no-one would give two shits about it.
That's a very good question, right? It definitely had more eyes on it with the rise of Game Grumps and he has said on the show a few times, the band used to be struggling. That's the crappy entertainment industry for you, though.

If you can't make 1 mil in a week, you're poor RoI, thus not worth investing in.

Dan is clearly passionate about the band, so it is definitely in his best interest to stay with GG, to get more eyes on his band.

The sad part is that was barely above two seconds of animation he did for that collab. Somehow "anything past 10 seconds" was being generous.
It was actually Smallbu that animated Happyland, which is wild because they do good stuff, they just severely dropped the ball with this pilot and made everything look not even good for late 2000s flash animation.
Maybe I'm crazy, but 'not long ago' (as in within the last decade?) Arin had done a solo stream where he was showing off some work on a PuyoPuyo clone he wanted to do and his original animation in that did actually look both good and like his own, which has got me wondering why he outsourced that on a pilot.

Hopefully somebody knows the stream I'm talking about, because I remember it being the one time I saw modern Arin doing anything but GG and it was like a weird glimpse into a world that could've been if he'd just done something that maybe made less money (granted, enough money) but was more fulfilling for the soul. Minus the parts where he was always a complete jackass within the NG community but chalk that up to just being young or whatever.

Wasn't a stream, it was from a short period where Dan was busy with something (probably NSP related) and Arin had to do solo videos for a month or two. He also did similar videos like looking back at his old art and animations, even going in the original flash files and looking through them frame by frame. I remember liking these videos but this was six years ago when I actually liked their shit. He was definitely more chill by himself and didn't resort to trying too hard with poopy dick jokes

Thank you, I checked the 'Live' tab and was going crazy when I didn't wind up seeing it. I really feel the same, yeah, he was a totally different human being when he was just left to do his own thing on a much smaller scale. I think he would've been just fine had he stuck to his own thing and not chased the biggest bag by becoming a child's channel, but that's not the world we wound up in.

Any passersby who haven't seen those, I'd definitely give them a watch. I can't stress just how different the dude is when he's just talking shop with no stakes whatsoever. It truly is like looking into another timeline where Arin's some fairly successful ~500k sub animator putting bread on the table with not a stress in the world.

Jesus Christ, that nigger's truly let his talent waste away hence why he can barely animate anything past 10 fucking seconds like in that DragonBall Z Intro Reanimated collab!

"I used to draw
Hard to admit that I "used to" draw
[...]
I spent some years a deer in the lights
I left some will to spirit away
I let my fears materialize
I let my skills deteriorate
Haunted by the thought of what I should have been continuing:
A mission that was rooted in a twenty year affinity..."

Truly Arin's theme song.

Do the Game Grumps still use an office that costs like half a million to manage, just so they can record let's plays and vlogs?
No they got rid of it, I remember hearing Arin say as a passing comment in a random video admitting it was a horrible idea he only realized in hind site.

I think they just rent a small office now, its Arin + Dan on chairs in front of a large TV with editor + misc staff sitting behind it monitoring the capture.

So, in other words, Dan feels indebted to Arin, and that's why he's still around (aside from Game Grumps giving him access to plenty of young BPD pussy).
Probably due more to wtf else is he going to do? All he has to do is sit on a couch and be Arin's laugh track for a few hours a week (if that) and he has a paycheck and the rest of the time to work on his passion projects.

Yep. It's an easy life.

I'm just saying, even if Dan wanted to leave, he wouldn't because Arin's basically the reason his band went from relative obscurity to semi-mainstream popularity.

They should just scream at Arin's bad gameplay
I'll admit that something I really enjoyed on Dan's part was that (at least when I'd watch way back when) he'd just tell Arin straight that he was pretty shit at the games. Anytime Arin had anything to say about the game not working Dan would have a smart ass quip about it at Arin's expense, and it usually got a giggle out of me.

Second music video for the new Starbomb album.

I know it's shitty to hand wave someone's art but damn man, every other budding animator online has the same crap art style regardless how fluid their animation is.
Is this hissing into the mic shit supposed to sound cool? I couldn't even tell what he's saying for the first part.

Oi, don't you diss Shigloo, he does fire work. He even animated on Smiling Friends and made this wonderful OneyPlays animated
His animation is probably the only thing stopping that music video from being bad, although as far as Starbomb songs go, this isn't the worst one. It got a couple chuckles out of me

This felt like it was at least twice as long as it really is. I thought the last starbomb album was supposed to be their final one?
