Anyways, to tie this back into the thread, there's been research done to suggest that BIPOC and women were primarily overlooked in autism diagnosis in the past, and in some cases it was intentional. The worst part, at least to me, about this is that, as was the case the first time I got tested, they put a lot of pressure on young girls to have to be articulate about their experiences and have them talk for extended periods of time to determine if they are autistic. In the case of the one child policy, it was supposed to deal with the famines and change the ethnic demographics but ended up backfiring due to the culture. But that was also in large part due to the law, so even if Pakistan realizes they need to reverse course they're not going to be able to. The culture is way further gone.

Oh, I wanted to share something about the evangelical church I grew up in.
There was this guy that I knew who was older than me that was one of the few who was somewhat decent to me. Come to find out, he "joked" about committing a school shooting and ended up being kicked out of the school district. I saw him for a while after that at church until he stopped going, which is when I found out what happened. I don't know the exact reason why he never came back to the church as his family still went, though I imagine it was due to legal reasons.
And yet, young girls weren't allowed to wear spaghetti tank tops or anything that showed skin even at the CHILDREN'S church events or activities and got reprimanded for what they wore. Again these are ten year olds and younger since it was only the middle schoolers and high schoolers helping church leaders watch a lot of children, and even we could get in trouble if a bra strap showed. The majority of us volunteering to watch them during summer camps and the weekly kid's activities, were girls, most of which were highly involved in religious activities, such as one where we spent a few hours with elders in the church, who were women. The only thing I learned was that everything that happened to me was my fault and that I just had to be more "pure" for moids to leave me alone.
