So the migrants tried to seriously injure the Irish kid, then a bunch of masked Irishmen caught the guy and slapped him around a little until he said he was sorry? One of those guys had a hammer, so why didn't they brain him? You're going to get a similar prison sentence if caught.

That's a very good point. I've just had a search and I cannot find an adult picture of him barring the court sketch of him with his jumper pulled up over his mouth which doesn't count. It's just the three or four pictures of him as a child over and over - school uniform, standing outside the Doctor Who TARDIS or that super close up where he's even younger than those.

Why? Presumably that projects the image of 'mental illness' which is the Go To deflection whenever anybody does something awful that they want to diminish responsibility for. Got a link to the article that raised this, if it is an article? Sounds insightful.

I am glad I didn't go with Roman Catholicism during my time as a Christian. I get why so many Catholics dislike the current Pope and they should really just leave Catholicism because I doubt it'll get any better. Sedevacantists say he's not actually the Pope, but that seems like a cope to me.

I actually found the UK pretty wild for Catholics. Elsewhere in Europe its often little more than an ethnic thing, even increasingly in places like Poland in modern times.

UK Catholics who practice and arent 1-3rd generation migrants like...Actually seem to take it seriously? Like American Evangelicals, only more smug and passive aggressive than directly calling you a whore.

Every now and then at work or a social one of them pipes up with something insane about freemasons and fetal cells other Euro and even Asian Catholics don't seem to do. I'm not talking like, "Being gay is wrong", but more "Communist mohammedans eat babies and have blood orgies".

Half my family are papes. No of them subscribe to anything Holy Mother Church says, but they think they’re better than other people for being atheists who are pretending to be catholic.

The other half are Church of England, so atheists who know a few hymns.

I am trying to negotiate this one as mine grow up. Luckily they’re not bullied, but I’ve always told them that if one of them is hitting the other they can expect to be hit back - not hard enough to do real damage, but ‘if your brother is hitting you, and he won’t stop, hit him back, girl! - don’t be silly about it, no eyes/faces or groins but whack them back.’
I can see how school ‘pacifies’ them.
it’s a fine line to walk - I dont want them to grow up as aggressors (and they won’t, they’re good kids) but I also want them to THINK about what they’re told as gospel. I keep seeing examples of it, and I keep gently pushing back and challenging them to examine stuff. It’s very pervasive

The thing is though, at least in burgerland if you do that two things happen (This was a long time ago when I was a kid).
1) Defending yourself gets punished (The person fighting you dgaf)
2) Usually said retard "Can't take the L" and ends up bring a gun or knife to school to settle this shit (read kill you) and won't get punished for it.
This forces you into a zero-sum game where the best ending is you don't get permanently maimed or killed. At least with niggers in the US understand cost-benefit analysis if you shank them enough. Not sure that exists if you're up against "moderate" headchoppers.

I suppose it depends on what you define as "Religious", but profoundly irreligious societies like Scandanavia, France and even England were doing just fine until the religious descended upon them en masse.

Irreligious societies do fine, it's importing the deranged that is the problem.

Daily reminder that the most religious societies are also almost always the worst places in the world to live.

(The only reason I say "almost always", is to give room to North Korea. I would argue that is a religious state though because despite it being a secular socialist state in name the Kim family do claim divine origin and various miraculous magical powers so....)
