Polls in general don't mean shit. Not only does the answer heavily depend on how the question is phrased, there's also no skin in the game so people just give you a whatever answer and move on.

Best example are political polls where about 50-55% of people answer they don't want any more Muslim immigration whereas the open border parties get 75-80% in the following elections.

The iPhone and smartphones in general were a fucking disaster. There were women online before that too, but they were exceptions. I was a raid leader in a top WoW guild in its 2006-ish era and some of my best raiders (healers, of course...) were women. Sometimes I could even convince them to play DPS, like shadow priest or boomkin, and they were good at that too.
But they were women that could shitpost, were able to withstand 20 angry nerdy males making sounds at them, and also capable enough to prove, with numbers and logs, that they could compete. Nearly completely different behavior set compared to the women of just 6 yrs later or so that were complaining during Elevatorgate and were tearing down mostly male online communities.
Where the fuck did these hoes come from? Just give us back the normal "fraternizing with males" chick that can drink a beer with you, smoke a joint, laugh at racist and sexist jokes and generally be normal. Tired of the ovary clutching lunatics that have infected everything, even these forums.
