It is a recurring lolcow trait dating back to the day of Chris Chan: idiots think that being upfront and honest is a positive virtue, making people take their side no matter how embarrassing or malicious the confession is. Gage probably thinks that people will take his side and that he'll be looked at as the victim given that his wife decide to initiate an affair if what he is saying is true.

Part of it might also stem from the paranoia at the thought of this leaking in the first place. He is probably scared of all the embarrassing things about him that she could say online. Or even having friends of their family saying what happened. He figures it is better to be the one to release than have it get released by somebody else when he is least expecting it.

There is some merit to this line of thinking but it still doesn't justify the amount of detail he went into. He could have addressed it in a way that doesn't make him sound like a cuck getting off.

You have to remember that cows don't understand how normal human beings think. Gage can't perceive how somebody will interpret something, and he doesn't know how to have his own behavior reflect that of a normal person.

Whether he is telling the truth with this story or is just having a joke, Gage in his thought process believed that saying this stuff would be beneficial to him.

You are almost as stupid as Gage is. I never said that what he was saying is beneficial to him, I said that in his mind he thinks what he is saying is beneficial to him.

Also, I have no idea if what he said is a joke. He didn't speak any differently about it then he does with any other topic he talks about.
