This works for how long, maybe 20 years? But eventually you'll just be fed up with everythingI was stressed from work and had many incredibly sad and infuriating things happening in Front of me during my emt stuff and never even thought about telling my girlfriend that i was sad or frustrated, but if you don't talk about it the pressure just builds up. (This doesn't mean that your partner is your therapist tho, that's a trap many men fall into.)

Why is this post here? This is the man-hate thread, for women who hate men.

As this is a ladies-only thread, no men will be reading this, as moids are always very respectful of women's boundaries. You should post this anywhere on the remaining 99% of the Farms, where your fellow moids can read it and absorb your wisdom.

Also another main reason why fujoshi get into yaoi is because most of the time male-female pairings are written very dogshit in media, whether they're done by men or women, especially in anime and manga in more recent times. Because usually in that media hetero pairings when they're written by a man it's always gonna be the duo of a manic pixie dream girl that's insanely beyond a man's league orbiting and uplifting the main mediocre male-protagonist that usually tends to be a self-insert and when hetero pairings that are written by women they tend to have an abusive dynamic where the male character treats the female character like shit with their relationship being built of the "I can fix him" or "He's a bad boy with soft-spot" tropes.

Meanwhile most of the time in yaoi, when it's not an aggressive abuse sausage festival that relies on top and bottom dynamics, both the masculine man and effeminate man tend to be written in a very believable and relatable manner, if the effeminate character is drawn very lady-like that's a bonus for female readers because they can insert themselves more easily into this fantasy where a twink gets pampered and spoiled hard by a more masculine man.

And honestly? As somebody that only exclusively likes hetero pairings in media, I don't blame women for choosing to read yaoi or yuri (lesbian equivalent of yaoi) because good heterosexual pairings that feel balanced and satisfy both male and female readers/watchers are so rare these days, especially in the romance genre because it has been co-opted by the most annoying sniveling men that write stories about women that wouldn't touch them IRL ballwashing them for being average that think this is a healthy and realistic couple dynamic. Annoying.

Adding to this: I read something recently explaining that these depictions very often present violent rape as "sexy" or "romantic". Since they can't get away from that, they go toward MM depictions which are well-separated into shit written by/for gay men and shit written by/for women, where the latter usually doesn't have the same issue. Hell, look at any depiction of WW couples written by moids and you'll find plenty of sick shit because they constantly project their violent sexual fantasies onto women. I do agree with that post, however I do find it funny that, for a medium written exclusively by women, they don't usually center female characters or relationships; those that do devolve into the absolute worst cat fights followed by toxicity. Even those who write exclusive WLW content often get dogpiled because they aren't writing it correctly. Can't win for losing. That content doesn't interest me, but it is interesting from an outsider's perspective because WLW content gets way more flak and criticism than even the shittiest MLM shit.

I have also noticed that in recent years, the 'top and bottom dynamics' are increasingly blurred, adding for more variety, because it used to be really black and white 10-15 years ago. However, you'll still find instances where the 'trad wife' mentality comes through - and it really is in places you don't expect.

The bit about male characters being better written and focused on is unfortunately true. In mediums where there are prominent female characters this is largely rectified, but nine times out of ten it's the opposite. Not to get off topic, but I do remember when Supernatural was at its peak, there were some complaints that it was misogynistic because it had no prominent female characters. It wasn't lampooned by Breadtube or the usual Leftist suspects because the most popular relationship was between two men - Dean and Castiel. The people who usually will complain about misogyny were silent.

But when it actually comes to gay porn written by and for men (such as bara, but that is increasingly being infested by pooners), you experience a completely different mentality. Everything from the writing and art is exclusively male centric - and I do mean male centric. It's like night and day. MLM written by women for women tends to focus more on the emotional beauty and care of the relationship, while with the other it's literally all balls out.

Yes, this was actually noted by an AO3 graph a few years ago. To make things simple, since fan made media is largely done by (white) women, they're going to focus on men they find attractive, and in a majority of the media they consume, male characters are front and center. It is for all the reasons I and other users mentioned: since men are the predominant characters, they will have the sexualization focused on them, because it takes the attention off of women.

In terms of the trauma stuff, I have noticed the classic sexual abuse tropes have been gradually replaced with actual characters with backgrounds and trauma that anyone can relate to/find sympathetic, but you will see this in works written by trans men. Out of all of these examples, they just seem to stand out like a sore thumb.

I've always had a soft spot for stories with well written female characters (most of my own stuff includes them) and definitely promote them when I can.

Oh, and yes, @UselessRubberKeyboard they do indeed have the smallest dicks - measured! Around 4 inches.
