What can I say? The damage is done, when he goes back I doubt many people will give much of a shit. His relevancy there was tied to his ever-dwindling host of 12 year old asspatters - and they have doubtlessly moved on to greener pastures.

So even if he does now go back to dA, he will be at square one nonetheless.

Though, admittedly, it is a more sound option than staying on Twitter and patreon, two platforms that will not give you any kind of exposure no matter how hard you try. Dobson tried to reach new people by flooding certain hashtags with his shitty art, but noone on Twitter cares for that kind of stuff, so his art just vanishes in the void of indifference.

On dA, at least some people might happen to stumble upon his art while browsing, but it will still be "too little, too late".

Especially since Dobson would have to churn out ever-improving art regularly and we all know he is uncapable of doing that, full stop.

Going by the horrible, horrible advice he gave some of his "friends" on Twitter regarding their life problems, I assume he has never spoken with a therapist for any prolonged time.
His advice was that counter productive.

Dobson is failing to mention he went to a counselor like two or three times, and they suggested he may have PTSD. He never saw a doctor, a claim he only started making (along with the paper work of lore) later after people began to criticize him.

Also, you don't get certifications for fucking mental illness. It isn't a trade school.

It's not like they have a big ceremony where they hand over a certificate with the therapists personal insignia stamped in red wax like it was the founding document of a medieval city.

And given how there was literally no notable radio silence from dobby, I have trouble believing his "I was in a mental ward for a long time" bull.

I'm not going to go back through his tweets to verify, but it would fit with people calling the cops on him over his tweets. He disappeared for a few days and only tweeted something like he's ok and taking a few days off.

So I dug through Dobby's Twitter, apparently he deleted the Suicide Tweet itself, but we can see there's a gap between July the 8th and July the 12th...

I also skimmed through the old Dobson Thread (around page 470) and it seems in that period, he actually went radio silent (though Ass Manager posted a couple now-defunct Tweets - though in hindsight that might also be tweets by people calling him out).

So yeah, looks like he did the 72 hours of superveillance thingy.

PTSD is not fearing something is going to happen to you. PTSD is is triggered by an extremely stressful event, it can be rape, attempted murder, near death experiences and even the death of a loved one. The criteria of PTSD is reliving the traumatic event through dreams, memories and having tactics to avoid flashbacks over a period of 3 months. Avoidance behavior can be using drugs or alcohol, pushing loved one away, self harm, inducing insomnia, avoiding situation, people or places that remind you of your trauma. The correct usage of triggers is little things that can cause a flash back, in Dobson's cause of having water being sprayed on him, he wouldn't be able to take a shower because the water mist would get on his face. PTSD can affect your life in a major way.

Around that time people on Kiwifarms were genuinely concerned about Dobby because after his suicide threats someone found out where he lived in an attempt to get him support or something and soon after that it was in his local news that a man of around his age commited suicide by jumping in front of a bus.

It's a strange things with the self importance of cows and the need of victim mentality, a few have tried to end it and kiwi's have stepped up. The people they look up to the "friends" they have their family didn't do shit. Hell some, no most didn't even mention it or reach out to bother virtue signaling.

I'll admit I was one of the people to call someone to check on him. I know his shitty life is mostly his own fault, but when I heard about the guy who jumped in front of a bus (RIP, whoever he was) I couldn't help it, I felt a little guilty myself. That, and I was actually really worried for him. I remember a lot of his followers just saying "nooooo dont do it " and similar things, but I think we were the only ones to react from a place of genuine concern.

Here's something I never told anyone, though--I think he might be bringing up his PTSD because when I phoned his local police station I mentioned him having PTSD as one of his "known" symptoms. I did this because I wanted to stress how severely depressed Dobby was at the time, and also because I hoped that assuming he was actually okay and eggagerating his depression (lol he was) that whoever talked to him would call bs on his ptsd.
