This gets back to something I said a month ago: Kamala is campaigning in a Post Truth World. She and her campaign simply declare things to be so. If confronted on an obvious lie, she doubles down as if it's fact. She was always for fracking. She was always for building The Wall and high border security. Trump hates the military. She never wanted to defund the police. She was never part of the failed Biden Administration. They can read her own words back to her and she'll just ignore them. This. IS. The. Strategy.
And the mainstream media hates Trump so much, they will carry water for her, back her up, and keep simping for her. They are all still personally invested in Defeating Hitler that they can do nothing else. They know she lies. They know electing her is electing a shadowy group of neocons, advisors, and interns who will puppet her. They don't care. Because Trump is Hitler.

The best bet democrats had for a strong candidate was an open convention. Let fresh, unknown (at least on a national stage) people at a go at it on the convention floor. Making arguments for this or that part of the party and the policies they want to see enacted. A meritocratic free-for-all where a charismatic, intelligent and visionary candidate would come out on top. Such a person would be ten times the person Kamala is.
Even if such an individual does not win in November, this election was a write-off anyway. The upsides are plentiful, at the very least being legitimacy of the candidate. A person the people of the party voted for. The only downsides are the fact the inner cabal of the party doesn't/didn't have direct say over who was running in such a scenario. It's dumb the inner party chose this path, instead of allowing for a democrat Trump to take hold of the reins for an election, but it is the path they chose. I can't wait for the down ballot slaughter that is going to come in November because of this shortsightedness.

I have three kids and my wife is pregnant with our fourth. A lot of the economics of raising children is based on extreme scenarios that are fucking retarded. It assumes that every birth is extremely complicated and that your wife will almost die. Then your kid will require only the latest and greatest baby furniture and if you reuse a crib or a car seat, you are a negligent parent. Each one of your kids needs an iPad and needs a new one every year. Your kid just can’t go play in the park, they need to be on a peewee team or squad that costs over $20k a year and travel all over the country. I can go on.
Basically you have to assume the <1% scenario will happen every single time. Your wife will have some issue that happens one in a billion times, then some pregnancy issue that happened once in 1973 to some random woman, and then assume your lithe white wife will encounter the same complications as some 400 pound negress who smoked and drank all throughout her pregnancy because muh tabula rasa. In the end, the odds of all these happening collectively are like 1 in 500 billion but because they happen once in a while, it absolutely will happen to your woman. So better just not get pregnant and advocate for open borders.

This is 2020 all over again. Democrats can nominate whoever they feel like because they control the media and culture. An actually intelligent and visionary candidate is bad for the deep state, since they have their own ideas how to run things and will make a power base once they're out of office that will challenge the Clintons, Obama, etc. Kamala is a great candidate since she's stupid but has the twofer wahman+POC boost to fight attacks and internally isn't obviously just Obama's Fourth Term like Big Mike would be. Any Democrat who doesn't like that system now doesn't have a candidate like RFK Jr. to vote for, so it's either vote Jill Stein or Cornel West or hold your nose and vote Democrat.
Blank slate candidates like Kamala are great for the powers that be, since as long as she shuts up and doesn't give anything but vague statements, she can be anything from the good unifying moderate Democrat we need to beat Drumpf to the progressive who will bring socialism to America.
Not gonna happen. They'll just rig a couple of House/Senate races and gain that thin majority they need. Just like 2022.

Its theoretically possible to have operatives in position to flip house seats (those are per district elections) but not to flip the presidency. Senate flipping is same level of work as presidency so if you can do one you can do the other.
Think Fulton county and pulling ballots to scan under the desk. Additionally if you think watching them matters you focus stopping it in some place like Fulton but an otherwise competitive seat in the suburbs gets lost.
Its very edge case you would go for one and not the other. A true believer who believes they have to cheat "to save democracy" will do full blue down ticket.
Also Whitmer, Newsom, and Shapiro would love Kamala to lose but a legislative that will completely block Trump. Best scenario for them.
