Agree it's unlikely, but:

• Nick has the reverse Midas touch with regards to legal cases. Anything he declares is usually proven in the opposite.
• Nick hasn't shown the ability (yet) to own up to what he's done.

I agree though, if he sees a jail, it's likely to be some sort of parole violation. I still think it's more likely he runs his balldomobile into a lake.

I don't think people are saying he's fucked meaning he's going to jail especially since the sentencing guidelines showing that he almost certainly won't have been posted and discussed repeatedly.

From what I've seen most of the people posting he's fucked are doing so because
a)he got caught red nosed handed
b)his one hail mary shot of getting off is getting the warrant thrown out, which isn't happening regardless of how much he sneeds about edited videos, or Aaron and/or the cops being liars etc.

Well, okay, but I scratch my head at the notion of him being "fucked" just means we know he is guilty as charged. Yeah, we know he's guilty. The alternative is that a bunch of people including teachers and other mandatory reporters conspired with the police to level accusations of Nick being a crackhead loser neglecting his kids. Then the police, also in on it, decided to balls-out lie about finding coke and guns in his filthy hovel despite every one of them wearing a body cam. As a cherry on top, the lab decided to also play ball and erroneously say that his daughter tested positive for coke. All this effort as revenge for Nick walking out of church service once or twice. Yes, Nick, they just want to nail you this bad.

As far as cows like Nick and Ralph are concerned, if they don't do jail time, it didn't happen. So knowing that he is guilty of everything doesn't really matter, at least to him. We all know that OJ killed his wife, but he still died a free man. Did it matter that everyone and his brother knew he was guilty? I suppose that is a matter of opinion.

I believe that Nick staying out of jail is the consensus of all but the most spiteful. Many lawyers have weighed in on that side--with the tongue-in-cheek caveat that if anyone could negotiate themselves into a sentence, it is Nick.

It is also much more entertaining for Nick to stay out of jail and sperging.

I think it's a bit different because Nick has crafted a ramshackle alternate legal reality where nothing happened, but if it did happen, the police basically framed him. The fact he's even contesting the charges when his only defense is trusting the state to stumble over an avalanche of potential petty technicalities would indicate that he seems to believe that maintaining this fiction is absolutely integral to his reputation (and ego) - if he takes a plea or acknowledges the charges in any way, he's acknowledging guilt and all that implies. It won't just be a story by Kiwi Farms, it'll be a matter of public record. Ralph is at such a base level he'd hand over the private details of every single one of his paypigs to the FBI and call it a win, but Nick still seems to believe that he can maintain his veneer of integrity by keeping just enough plausible deniability.

Thing is, jail time or not, Nick won't learn anything, it's not like you can rehabilitate a pathological fuckup. It's clear now because of his addiction or whatever he's a massive narcissist and feels entitled to do what he likes and even be praised for it.
