In his defense, we have literally no concrete evidence that this guy was around 30 years ago, barring random modern day accounts from people who claim to have totally seen him or someone of a similar description in Doncaster years back. From all of the old shit I've looked up, I can find exactly zero evidence that anyone has ever spoke about this guy online before those Reddit posts were made recently.

I honestly have my doubts that this whole thing isn't some sort of elaborate fucked up attention-grab for some weirdo's art project or horror thing, but if it is, I don't think it has anything to do with the YouTubers who've been doing videos on him. I think they're unknowing pawns in whatever the fuck this is all about, and they're just capitalising off of it. I think whoever is behind this is currently freaking out though, because it seems to have gotten way bigger than they were expecting it to, and they're likely starting to fear legal consequences due to how CSAM laws work in the UK regarding the creation of obscene imagery of children.

Remember, people from the North of England knew all about Purple Aki back in the day, and there were several accounts of him online before YouTubers started talking about him a couple of years ago - I remember hearing about him as far back as the late 90's, and I'm not even from Manchester or wherever it is he operated out of. Regarding the art style looking familiar, when I saw the graphics I assumed this was a Shaye Saint John ripoff. The way the kids were gruesomely distorted and the loud colors looked exactly what Shaye was making back in the early 2000's, minus the pedo creepiness. The infographics and the innocent tone contrasted with the horror also matches.

The artist who played Shaye passed away, so I'm not dragging them into the suspect lineup. I'm just saying SSB9 borrowed heavy handedly.

Currently I'm leaning more into this being a genuine retarded pedo rather than an ARG or an internet prank, simply because the latter necessitates a fuck ton of effort and planning for what has so far amounted to basically fuck all in return as far as exposure goes.

Because while the individual mentioned as being a known local weirdo in the 90's is yet to be confirmed to even exist, let alone be the subject in question, assuming that they are the same person could it be that they took a substantial break from this behaviour and have only recently returned to old habits?
I know of a few serial killers that took a break for a few years before killing again, and hell even regular lolcows do it from time to time. Schoolboy being real but somewhere after 1994 he was put in a group home. Lived there for years. Chilled down a bit because of tard wranglers. Slowly went back into his old habit (see: 2018 poem) before the "Disabled Peoples Alliance of Doncaster" dissolved in 2021.
Since then, he's gon more and more extreme. Fast forward and since then he's been sighted more and more, and we reach the current day.

Based on the facts, this seems likely to me.
It also explains his lack of sightings between ~2000 and ~2022

Ok, I don't think I cracked the code about the art but I might as well share.

I think that David simply chose to recreate child art he liked for fetish reasons. The main inspirations could've been Biljana Durdevic of John Podesta fame and I specially want to point out (not downloading those things into my laptop) Aesthetics of Violence and Paradise Lost, both are paintings with very pale children with alien like proportions that use the colour red to mark the abuse. Durdevic is known for reflecting pain in her work, is what she is known for but if David is taking her as a basis he substitutes the grief of the original for wide unnatural grins.
The second inspiration in my theory is Graham Ovenden, who not only paints young girls with a similar colour palette but also was arrested for CP. David cramped the saturation and his aesthetic is more of a composition but it does look somewhat similar.

It could be a reach but I guess it would be part of the course to expect someone like him to try to mimic the art style of a nonce and someone whose work is mostly known for its association with ALLEGED nonces.

A stretch but maybe he is obsessed with pale skin and red lips as an unattainable ideal of beauty, like Snow White.
