Was it just a rave or an anime convention? It’s a very common and gay occurrence that anime conventions have gay raves at the end of the night. They generally play a lot of happy hardcore mixes of anime themes, so, as you said.

This stuff is super funny to witness. The anime raves are cliqued off like elementary school dances where you have pockets of NEETs standing around acting like retards, your OnlyFans cosplayers recording their assholes while holding a watered down margarita, all while an overly excited DJ is hopping around behind a laptop.

I've never been to one, but I'm vaguely aware of the anime raves attached to cons; from what I understand they are rife with thirsty incels/virgins with no understanding of boundaries, so perfect stalking grounds for Chibi.
